The QA Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility for providing treatment to patients who need medical gases administering in prehospital environments. During this 1 day course, candidates will learn how to safely administer emergency oxygen, pre-operational inspections for oxygen therapy equipment and the clinical need for oxygen therapy when dealing with a range of conditions. Successful candidates will leave with the skills, knowledge and competencies needed to safely administer prompt and effective medical gases in an emergency situation.

Paediatric First Aid Emergency Paediatric First Aid One Day Course Cost:  £75 + vat per person This one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course has been designed for those interested in Child and Infant Basic Life Support, including parents, guardians and family members. The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of Paediatric First Aid. The FAA Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification is Unit 1 of the two-day FAA Paediatric First Aid qualification. From gaining this Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification, learners could progress to completing Unit 2 and being awarded the 2-day FAA Award in Paediatric First Aid. The qualification is designed for learners with a responsibility for the Care of Children and Babies. It provides knowledge and skills to deal with a range of Paediatric First Aid conditions and incidents. Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults One Day Course Cost:  £65 + vat per person This course promotes awareness and sensitivity to Safeguarding, enabling learners to identify the types and characteristics of abuse, record disclosure and appropriately share information with the relevant people. Safeguarding is how we can protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect by the actions, or lack of actions, of another person. In order to Safeguard and Protect Persons from abuse or neglect we need to learn how to identify vulnerable individuals and take necessary steps to stop abuse and neglect. SYLLABUS A range of subjects is covered including: Making judgements Communication Roles and responsibilities Sharing information Dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints AGE RESTRICTIONS Learners must be minimum of 18 years of age upon course commencement.  COURSE NUMBERS A maximum of 12 learners can be accommodated on this course. CERTIFICATION Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, learners will be awarded an Ofqual regulated qualification. They are designed to provide Healthcare Professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to protect vulnerable individuals in their care. The one day National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Proficiency Award will re-qualify the learner with the knowledge and skills required in order to provide professional patrolling and water services, in surf conditions, with rescue skills and advanced fitness requirements. Aspects of the course are physically demanding and will include running, swimming to set times and some lifting. The Award is comprised of a variety of units and all must be successfully passed to attain the qualification. There is a minimum of 20 hours learning required for this course is. As this is not achievable within the one day period it is prior learning and continual professional development will be assessed before being able to sign on to the course. As well as this CPD a certain amount of pre course learning will need to take place before the course commences.

The QA Level 2 Award in Principles and Practice of Moving People Safely (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people.  This 1 day course provides candidates with a clear understanding of the principles of moving people safely and includes the opportunity to practise and apply these principles in a variety of situations; individually, in a team, and with the assistance of equipment.  Candidates will leave the course with the knowledge and skills required to move people safely whilst ensuring that the risk of personal harm is reduced and that health and dignity are retained.
