Well placed to know the significant challenges of headship, Mike will use the
experience and skills developed through three successful headships and his other
roles to help headteachers recognise their strengths and to support them in
addressing identified development need. Where applicable, Mike will assist in
the collation of evidence that demonstrates the progress made. Such evidence can
assist with accountability processes whether that be for governors, local
authority, regional consortia or inspectors. In addition, recognising the
relentless demands on headteacher’s time, Mike can provide additional capacity
to support with specific areas such as: Self-evaluation Reviewing an aspect of
the school Planning for effective and sustainable change Whole school discipline
Assessment for learning Working with Governors Managing difficult situations
