social plugger
London
Social Plugger was formed in 2019 as a direct response to the increasing
shortcomings of the social care system. Coming from a background in music and
charity work, founder Jae Kaae started experimenting with ways in which music
could be utilised to support those with chronic health conditions. After
observing first-hand the uplifting effect music had on his grandfather while
battling the confusion of dementia, Jae began consulting with musicians,
therapists and healthcare professionals to create digital wellness products that
could effectively support those in similar situations. When the Covid-19
pandemic brought the stressors of isolation, loneliness and uncertainty into
every home in Britain, we worked tirelessly to support those who needed help
maintaining their mental health. Throughout the lockdowns, Social Plugger
provided music therapy listening sessions to help people cope with anxiety and
insomnia, and to maintain their general personal wellbeing.
