In August 2017, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead became a co-owner of AfC, and we now deliver children’s services across all three boroughs. Our services in Kingston are judged ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, following their inspection in October 2019. Our services in Windsor and Maidenhead are rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted following an inspection in January 2020. CLOD ENSEMBLE create provocative, finely crafted performance and participation projects driven by movement and music. For over 25 years, director Suzy Willson and composer Paul Clark have developed a highly original performance language, in collaboration with dancers, actors, musicians, medics, architects and orchestras. Our core team work from our studios in the Design District on Greenwich Peninsula, and we work with a wide range of freelance artists on each project. Each production has a unique visual identity and distinctive musical score. Highlights include Silver Swan, featuring a choir of seven unaccompanied singers; Under Glass, where performers are contained within glass cases, from a jam jar to a test tube; An Anatomie in Four Quarters in which the audience cut a path through the auditorium of a large theatre and Red Ladies, a chorus of identically dressed women who transform, celebrate and interrupt the familiar streets of a city. Our work is presented in London, across the UK and internationally in theatres, dance houses, galleries and public spaces including Sadler’s Wells, Tate Modern, The Lowry, Wales Millennium Centre, Serralves Museum Porto and Public Theater New York. Our approach to performance making embraces difference and ambiguity, allowing us to work with complex ideas in complex systems. Why EY Matters? My love affair with the Early Years sector began back in 2011 when I started working with Laura Henry, and through my work with her I started to connect with other Early Years Professionals. During 2013, I supported Laura with her vision of creating an organisation for the Trainers and Consultants of the sector, by organising the first meetings, the first survey and collating the results. Out of this vision NEyTCO was born. Launched in 2014 at the House of Commons, NEYTCO - National Early Years Trainers and Consultants - brought together experts in the sector to offer mutual support for trainers and consultants and a one-stop-shop for early years settings, local authorities, schools and others. In 2017, at the invitation of the CEO, Catriona Nason, I started working closely with NEyTCO, looking at the member experience, finding ways to improve the membership offering and also promoting the members and the organisation, but sadly in the current climate, NEyTCO was unable to survive and closed in October 2018. After receiving the devastating news that NEyTCO was unable to continue trading, I thought long and hard about what this would mean for the sector and then came up with the idea that the new Twitter Chat (#EYMatters) I had introduced a few weeks earlier in September could perhaps be utilised in some way to support Early Years Professionals to continue connecting, communicating and collaborating. With this in mind, I formed a new company EY Matters Ltd with the sole purpose of providing the platform to support the sense of community that has been building over the past few months between the NEyTCO Members and other individuals, companies and areas within the sector. I should stress, this is a separate venture from my main business, Virtual Support UK Ltd, where I still provide support and administration services to the sector on a Pay-per-Minute basis!

Bea has since combined her passion for life-long learning and development and working with horses, making Spirit In Stirrups Limited a unique coaching & training provider. Bea draws from a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills gained during careers spanning nearly three decades in various Leadership & Management roles in the public and private sector as well as in the equestrian world. Bea's equestrian experience spans over more than 30 years. Having discovered her passion for all things horses at a very young age, she took her 'hobby' to the professional level by becoming an apprentice jockey at one of Europe's oldest and most prestigious racecourses, Berlin-Hoppegarten, in Germany. There she graduated from Jockey School with distinction and qualified as a Specialist for Horse Keeping, Breeding & Professional Rider in 1991. To broaden her skill set further, Bea went on to work for 18 months at Berlin's Equine Veterinary University as a Veterinary Nurse, gaining invaluable experience and insights in equine health and welfare which have stood her in good stead all throughout her career. Bea continues to develop and broaden her own knowledge and skillset through regularly attending CPD training days. She previously trained with Kelly Marks (Intelligent Horsemanship) and is a committed student of Marijke de Jong's Straightness Training Home Study programme, employing these skills and techniques in her day-to-day work. Since 2013, Spirit In Stirrups Ltd has successfully delivered the ‘HorsePlay’© workshop programme to a number of London Borough of Brent-based primary schools, as well as mentoring programmes and team building workshops to organisations such as Kensington Temple London City Church, Bucks New University and Coca Cola.

The Islamic Foundation (IF) is located in Villa Park, Illinois. Islamic Foundation was formed in 1974, as a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Illinois, to serve the Muslim communities in the western suburbs of Chicago. We started our mission in 1975 with a weekend Islamic school in a rented facility with an initial enrollment of 36 students. In 1981, Islamic Foundation got the permit to establish a permanent building facility in Villa Park, Illinois and two years later, Islamic Foundation purchased a former public school building and an adjacent house to setup the facility that is now our Islamic Foundation campus. Our goal at IF is to fulfill the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the entire family for the Muslim community in the greater Chicagoland area. The management of the Islamic Foundation is vested in a Board of Trustees. The Islamic Foundation operates multiple institutions and programs on the premises including a Mosque, Islamic Foundation School (full-time school from preschool to grade 12), and Weekend Schools (Saturday and Sunday). The Islamic Foundation Masjid, arguably the largest mosque in North America, was completed in 1998 after a 3-year construction period. The masjid area now also includes a book store, library / reading room, community center, banquet / lecture hall, state-of-the-art kitchen, conference rooms, and IF staff offices. The Islamic Foundation School (IFS), is a full-time school (preschool to grade 12) accredited by North Central Association (NCA) and recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). IFS has a current enrollment of around 650 full-time students from 400+ families across the greater Chicagoland area, making its one of the largest Islamic schools in North America. Since its inception in 1986, IFS has embarked on a mission to provide excellent education in an atmosphere of faith, and to prepare students to be life-long learners and contributing members of society. BRIEF HISTORY OF ISLAMIC FOUNDATION 1974: Founded and registered Foundation with the State of Illinois as a not-for-profit organization 1975: Recognized by the United States as a tax-exempt organization. 1975: Established weekend Islamic school for children in a rented classroom with enrollment of 36 students. 1983: Purchased a former public school building (24,000 square feet) on a 7.1-acre lot and simultaneously purchased a house adjacent to this land for use as the Imam’s residence. 1984: Established a Muslim cemetery with a space for 1,125 grave-sites, as part of Arlington Cemetery, at 401 E Lake Street, Elmhurst, Illinois. 1988: Established a full-time school for kindergarten to grade 8, and later added a preschool for children, ages 3-5. 1993: Expanded parking facilities with installation of floodlights. 1995: Began construction of a new mosque to accommodate the growing community. 1997: Established a high school with grade 9 and gradually expanded to grade 12 by 2000. Also added a playground and completed an upgrade of all heating units in the school building. 1998: Completed construction of the Masjid along with the additional space that today includes a book store, library and reading room, banquet/lecture hall, kitchen, and offices for the Foundation staff. 1999: Further extended the existing parking facility. 2003: Added the parking lot on the west side of the Masjid. 2007: Established a second cemetery, Al-Fatiha Gardens, for 336 grave sites in Chapel Hill Gardens at 17 West 201 Roosevelt Road, Oak Brook Terrace, Illinois. 2007: Started construction of a new three-story building including a state-of-the-art regulation-size gymnasium (paused in 2009 after completing all exterior work due to financial considerations). 2012: Completed and furnished first floor of the new school building – moved high school classes from trailers to the new building. 2014: Completed and furnished second floor of the new school building – moved all the middle school classes from trailers to the new building. 2016: Completed the lower level of the new school building – moved rest of the middle school classes, and labs. 2017: Completed the construction of community center, administration offices, and conference rooms. 2018: Renovated the Old School Building by replacing the entire roof and ceiling.

The company was founded in June 2011 by Buzz Bury, Sharon Phillips and Steve Burns after several months of discussions and business planning. The idea had been spurred on by significant cuts to public spending and the shift in emphasis for young people and community services to the development of social enterprise. Think Forward C.I.C. was created as the vehicle to provide services which benefit the local community, particularly young people and community groups.  The Team Steve Burns Steve has enjoyed a wonderful and challenging career in education for the last 22 years spanning the voluntary sector, social services, youth & community work, further education, and working with young people excluded from mainstream schools. His experience includes four years within a managerial position in a pupil referral unit in Blackpool. Steve is committed to life-long learning and has so far undertaken a MEd in special education, a post-graduate diploma in youth & community work and certificates in counselling, careers guidance, life-coaching and a Master Practitioner qualification in NLP. Buzz Bury Buzz is a qualified Youth and Community Worker with more than 28 years of experience ranging from club and issue-based work to management and staff development. He has significant experience in project management, particularly specialising in supporting art and creatively based activities and is an established and valued European Youth Work Trainer within the “Youth in Action” programme of the European Union. He has demonstrated innovative training delivery in the fields of “Youth Participation” and “Global Citizenship” as well as supporting international volunteer initiatives. Sharon Phillips Sharon has 16 years of experience working in services for young people, both in career guidance and in a leadership role for Integrated Youth Services provision. In her previous role at Blackpool Council she was the strategic and operational lead for training, development & accreditation for Blackpool Young People’s Services. Being passionately committed to youth workforce development, she is enjoying being back at the coal face delivering training and in her spare time (ha ha) is in the middle of studying for her Masters Degree in Youth and Community Work.
