for learning from the moment students start school to the moment they leave. Our
curriculum enables every student to acquire the knowledge, skills and personal
qualities needed to open doors to life-long opportunities and to progress to
both University and work beyond. Younger students follow a core curriculum of
English, Maths, Science, Humanities subjects (taught as discrete subjects),
Languages, Design Technology, Sport and P.E and Arts, including Performing Arts
(taught discretely). Our intensive Accelerated Reading and Literacy Programme
ensures that all girls, no matter what their ability, develop a love of
literature from the beginning of their academic journey at Hornsey.
