COVO Connecting Voices is a charity specialising in consultancy and training in educational and community settings. We provide second tier support to statutory and voluntary organisations working with children, young people and parents in the areas of behaviour management, play and parenting skills. Covo has provided second tier training services in Southwark since 1999, working in schools and community settings. We have been commissioned by the Children Services and Southwark Behavioural & Autism Support Service to provide training and mentoring programs for schools and out of school settings, as well as by the London Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Camden, Westminster, Islington, Hackney and Lambeth, and Oxford and Essex. COVO was recently contracted to work in a cluster of five PRU centres in Essex undergoing a period of change. COVO introduced and modelled new activities and child-centred practices designed to engage young people and cater for their complex needs. The project included an evaluation of the impact of the programme on teachers’ practice and on young people’s behaviour. Since 2013 COVO has focused on developing a behavioural programme for secondary schools. The work has proven to be successful thanks to the innovative approach developed by the team while working in PRU.

Home - WHSC - Sailing & Windsurfing Club in North London The Welsh Harp Sailing Club is one of the largest Sailing and Windsurfing clubs in North London. Situated on the Welsh Harp Reservoir near Brent Cross, we’re right next to where the M1 enters London, less than 8 miles from Oxford Circus and the West End. Previous experience is not necessary. We offer safe and free RYA accredited training for anyone from the age of 8 up. The club has a range of modern dinghies, including GP14s, Lasers and Toppers, as well as wetsuits and buoyancy aids, all of which are free for our members to use. Windsurfing boards and rigs with wet suits also available for your first few sessions. If you are a newcomer, you can start out by turning up to one of our Thursday Evening Training sessions, from 6PM between April and September. Once you join the Club, free training is available for Dinghy and/or Windsurfing during the summer.

We feature the best flamenco artists from Spain and the UK (see below). Most shows are professional but twice a year we have ‘juergas’, where anyone can apply to our events co-ordinator to perform. We also host the Feria de Abril de Londres each year in partnership with Ilusión Flamenco which is just like the feria in Seville, with sevillanas dancing all afternoon! We also launched the first flamenco dance prize in the UK, The Ron Hitchins Prize for Flamenco Dance, a bursary which we award to up-and-coming flamenco dancers. The Peña Flamenca de Londres publishes Flamenco News three times a year. Full of news, reviews and articles of interest to anyone enthusiastic about flamenco, it is free to members and is on sale at our monthly meetings and at El Mundo Flamenco shop on Duke Street just off Oxford St. The Constitution of the Peña is here.

The lessons are led by Alesha Allen, an Oxford University graduate of Italian and experienced teacher. She spent five years living and working in Rome and is now back in her hometown of London to share her knowledge and passion with the Masterclass students.

Hugo Henderson MA MB BS FRCOphth is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon and runs the oculoplastic service in The Royal Free London Hospital. He super specialises in ophthalmic and reconstructive plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures such as cosmetic eyelid surgery and brow lifts, and was honoured to host the prestigious annual meeting of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society 2017 in London. Mr Henderson trained as an undergraduate at Oxford University and Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital. He completed his specialist training in Ophthalmology at Moorfields Eye Hospital and undertook sub-specialist fellowships in Oculoplastic Surgery at Moorfields and at the multi-disciplinary Craniofacial Unit in the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Multi-award winning Pigfoot Theatre tell stories about the climate and ecological crisis, with the least carbon impact possible. An associate company of English Touring Theatre (ETT), our work ‘practises what it preaches’ (The Sunday Times on Pigfoot) and protests within an industry which, in London alone, has a carbon footprint of 50,000 tonnes a year. Our bike-powered family comedy ‘How To Save A Rock’ has toured with ETT to Northern Stage and Theatre By The Lake, with Battersea Arts Centre & Found in Music, and with support from Slung Low to the Albany, Camden People’s Theatre, Poplar Union, the Pound Arts Centre, and more. HOT IN HERE (an energy-generating dance party), co-produced by the Gate Theatre, commissioned and supported by Camden People's Theatre, toured across the UK in Autumn 2022 to venues including Theatre by the Lake, York Theatre Royal, MAST Southampton, the North Wall Arts Centre, the egg Bath, mac Birmingham, ARC Stockton Arts Centre, Nonsuch Studios, and Contact Manchester. Our new show, Hostile Environments, supported by Boundless Theatre’s Accelerator programme, will begin development in 2023. We have also run workshops, delivered sustainability consultancy, and run engagement programmes for organisations including the National Theatre, Southbank Centre, Rambert, HOME Manchester, and Guildhall School of Speech and Drama. Pigfoot began in Oxford, producing site-specific work by the River Thames and at the Oxford Playhouse.
