OUR STORY Playback is a youth engagement, training, and IAG provider working across London. We support young people to access further education, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. Our core ethos is underlined by our main value, which is to provide young people from a range of backgrounds opportunities to succeed (giving youth another go). Established in 2009, we initially used creative media as a form of youth engagement. We have supported various local authority youth services and schools to engage with hard to reach young people and improve their prospects. We have since developed our (RSP) Ready For Success Programme that includes a range of workshops and activities to address the issues faced by young people at risk of becoming NEET. Welcome to the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. As Europe’s leading centre for child health research and education, our Academic Strategy focuses on: Developmental Biology and Cancer Developmental Neurosciences Genetics and Genomic Medicine Infection, Inflammation and Immunology Population Policy and Practice The key elements of this Refreshed Strategy include a new Education Strategy which is completely integrated into the overall Academic Strategy, an even closer alignment with Great Ormond Street Hospital and a clear strategy for international partnerships. In March 2021, we launched the International Precision Child Health Partnership (IPCHiP), joining forces with other leading paediatric research institutes - Boston Children’s Hospital; the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute with The Royal Children’s Hospital (Melbourne); and The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto — to work together to evaluate genomic data, clinical data from patients, and scientific and medical expertise to accelerate discovery and therapeutic development.

Social Plugger was formed in 2019 as a direct response to the increasing shortcomings of the social care system. Coming from a background in music and charity work, founder Jae Kaae started experimenting with ways in which music could be utilised to support those with chronic health conditions. After observing first-hand the uplifting effect music had on his grandfather while battling the confusion of dementia, Jae began consulting with musicians, therapists and healthcare professionals to create digital wellness products that could effectively support those in similar situations. When the Covid-19 pandemic brought the stressors of isolation, loneliness and uncertainty into every home in Britain, we worked tirelessly to support those who needed help maintaining their mental health. Throughout the lockdowns, Social Plugger provided music therapy listening sessions to help people cope with anxiety and insomnia, and to maintain their general personal wellbeing.
