Bluemoon College provides training services for the Professional Private Investigation Industry. We offer classroom based training in addition to bespoke one-on-one courses. In 2012 Bluemoon College achieved EDI Approved Centre status to be able to offer the Level 3 Professional Investigators Qualification. In 2017, Bluemoon College’s Will Clayton became an accredited trainer on behalf of the Association of British Investigators. Due to being active investigators we keep up to date with the latest techniques, methods and equipment available to us. Trainers We only use professional investigators who are experienced in their field. They prepare relevant course material and also lead our training courses. History Bluemoon College started out as Antek Security Training providing training for the security industry. We offered public courses and home study materials. 2008 we changed our focus to concentrate on Private Investigator training and hence changed our name to Bluemoon School of Investigation. In 2010 we re-branded as the Bluemoon College. Finally, in 2016 we moved our training facilities to our new offices in Paddington to be easier to reach.

The research arm of The Griffin Institute is working on two areas of potential benefit to people living with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) by creating a replacement bowel tissue for transplantation and by developing an in vitro platform for evaluating candidate drugs for the treatment of those patients who are not suitable for surgery. Our tissue engineering approach could also be used to treat other bowel diseases including reconstructive surgery after cancer removal. Approximately 50% of patients with Crohn’s disease and 20% with Ulcerative Colitis (UC) will require life-changing surgery that involves removal of part of the bowel resulting in complications with stool frequency, malnutrition and infections. As a proof of concept, we will grow stem cells on a biological inert scaffold in the laboratory to optimise the conditions for seeding the patient’s own stem cells for eventual transplantation. Use of the patients own stem cells avoids immune rejection. This proof of concept will lay the foundation for translational studies and eventual clinical trials for the management of UC and other bowel conditions in humans. We also hope that this work will lead to the development of a 3D model where the model tissue populated with healthy cells will be used to better understand the natural progression of UC for the purposes of testing interventions for early stage disease.

I spent the majority of my early career in IT Marketing and Sales functions for medium size enterprises, where I gained a broad range of skills in both areas. I enjoyed being involved in the creation of various marketing campaigns, from concept through to implementation. In recent years, I finally got the opportunity to start my own venture and I launched a successful Terrarium workshop business. However, it was impacted by the pandemic, which had lead me to create Blue Fern Consult. She founded Devoted to Rest + Starshine & Clay Online Yoga and Meditation Studio for Black Women and Women of Color. Within her rest and work she threads poetry, prayer, and time tested practices into a blanket of experience under which individuals can gather and rebuke stress, fatigue, and burnout. The foundation of Octavia’s rest work is Black Church (rooted in the South USA), restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra, and meditation. Her deepest offerings lead driven, ambitious, visionary, and highly impactful women to awaken the fullness of their wisdom, power, and clarity through rest. Octavia has over 20 years of experience and well over 10,000 hours of designing and delivering classes, restshops, workshops, immersions, and trainings that transform, heal, and restore individuals and organizations. In 2021 Yoga Journal magazine recognized Octavia as one of fifteen experienced yoga professionals who have elevated and changed the field on a global scale. Closer to home and as a beacon in her local community, she was named one of four luminaries who have lit the way and created new avenues to yoga in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Southeast in September 2019 by Natural Awakening Magazine.
