My career as an artist started in 1996 when I was asked to illustrate articles from a national religious magazine in Italy. Through the years I developed skills in both digital illustration and hand paint with watercolour and acrylic. In 2002 I decided to take it further and attend a school of art and, in 2005, I graduated as a Comics illustrator and special effects artist. Since I was always attracted by the movie world, I decided to use my new certificate to approach this fantastic world. I worked few years for a production company which took me away from my Country of origin and gave me the opportunity to develop my skills as an artist and writer. I wrote several screenplays for the big screen and illustrated storyboards on a daily basis and here is when I started thinking about writing and illustrating stories for children. “The first tale of Sarah” in fact was born as an idea for a children’s movie but not developed more than a script. In 2015 I moved in the UK and I started working on my first personal project “The Tale of Sarah”, a three books series which I’m writing and illustrating. The first one was published in 2017 and I’m currently working on the second volume. My goal in sharing these stories is to share a message of hope with readers of all ages. As an artist I keep on developing my skills every day and trying new ways and techniques to improve my illustrations. In 2018, I enrolled BA in Illustration at the Open College of the Arts.

I am The London Sound Healer, and I am a Sound Healer and Reiki Master. I have been following a shamanic path since my teens, and I have studied with the Power Path School and Sandra Ingerman, and I am currently deepening my studies with The Sacred Trust in the UK. I have been very lucky to spend time in the Amazon rainforest with the indigenous locals learning about their relationship and medicinal uses with the plants and trees. I am deeply passionate about the healing and transformational power of sound, which is particularly needed at this transitional time on our planet. I trained at The College of Sound Healing, where I am an accredited member, and I work with 432hz crystal bowls and Tibetan singing bowls, along with the gong. I have also trained with sound pioneers Jill Purce and Jonathan Goldman. I heal through sound on a one-to-one basis, and also in groups for sound baths and events for adults and children alike. I am a third generation Healer, following in the footsteps of my mother and grandmother.

London Skills for Growth has now merged with London South East Colleges. From 31 August this site will no longer be available. London Skills for Growth was established as a charity to directly respond to the growing number of young people leaving school without the necessary skills to enter the world of work. It aimed to support young people and those furthest from education and employment. Since its’ establishment it has has created brighter futures, supporting thousands of young people on their journey to employment. None of these achievements would have been possible without the continued support of our employers and students. The Avenues team of youth professionals provides a safe, caring, youth-led space in a disadvantaged inner-city area, where young people can learn, develop and build towards a brighter future. Open-access after-school and holiday programmes take place in our purpose-built youth centre in North Westminster. Activities encompass sport, healthy cooking, music, art, dance, radio, skills development and career pathways. Delivered by our experienced team, the work is child-centred and promotes enjoyment, collaboration and individually tailored support towards personal development. Young people are encouraged to become volunteers, participate in social action, and to use their voices to share their ideas, opinions and needs, which in turn helps us shape the youth programmes. We are committed to the highest quality of youth work and in 2021 we were awarded the Gold Level London Youth Quality Mark. After a four year degree studying French, German and Spanish - I decided the obvious thing to do next was teach English in Japan! Random - but I’m so thankful I made this decision: because it was my introduction to teaching and set me on the path as an educator. 3 years later, I trained as a yoga teacher in Scotland, before moving to Cornwall and deciding I wanted to be a Primary School Teacher. I wanted to share with kids so much about life and the world! Teaching was, admittedly, harder than expected. I loved elements but hated others. I’d always prioritised my health and wellbeing - but I found myself becoming stressed like I’d never experienced before. I know now that if I’d have continued to prioritise my own wellbeing, not only would teaching have been easier - but the children would have also benefited so much more. This is one of the key reasons Class Yoga is here: to raise the wellbeing of educators, so that the pupils benefit in turn. (Listen to more on this, here.) I believe we need to look after our own wellbeing to raise the wellbeing of our pupils I started to share yoga when I could. I got to see what worked and what didn’t; and I got a glimpse of some promising results. But when I left full-time teaching and started supply (and sharing more yoga) I started getting called back - to teach yoga! Because now the clear evidence, of greater calm and focus in children in the classroom after yoga, was shining out! So began my calling to teach yoga to more children, in more schools. Over this time, I developed and refined my method of teaching mindful movement to children, that I still teach and train others in, today. A few words about us at Cyber Benab. We are an online meeting place which aims to increase awareness of cybersecurity through online events, such as weekend bootcamps and intensive training courses. About us Our mission at Cyber Benab is to develop a community of cybersecurity aware enthusiasts and experts with the knowledge to defend critical data and infrastructure for individuals, businesses and government. Dr. Fraser, our Operations Director has developed cybersecurity and computer systems administration training courses for both private sector organisations, such as the Flatiron School in New York, and outreach courses for disadvantaged groups, including retraining for programmes for immigrant engineers at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. More recently, he has contributed to cybersecurity workshops as part of Vaugh’s College CSTEP programme which aims to increase access by minority and economically disadvantaged students to academic programs at the college level in scientific and technical fields. Cyber Benab is one of 108 UK security startup companies nominated to take part in the 2021 Cyber Runway accelerator programme which is sponsored by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). During 2022, Cyber Benab in collaboration with the Digital Policy Alliance and local outreach groups will play a leading role in delivery cybersecurity training to disadvantage groups in the UK starting with the London Borough of Lambeth. In recent years, digitisation has exploded in every aspect of the global economy. This development has increased our reliance on mobile devices to interact with friends and family, work, shopping, news, lifestyle, social media, banking and finance.
