Teach Perfect was founded in 2016 to provide high quality, affordable educational support for students at every stage of the standard national curriculum. Our goal is simple – we want children to reach higher, maximising their talents to achieve the best start in life. Many adults, with the benefit of hindsight will often say the same thing; ‘I wish I had worked harder at school’. We are here to make sure that happens. The workplace is increasingly selective and every student needs to be ready to compete for the roles they want in life. Our founder, Sarah Eden-Ellis, is a passionate and driven teacher. Her discipline is English and she has had a long career as Head of English in Ofsted-rated outstanding schools and academies. She is also an expert examiner for Edexcel marking Key Stage 2 SAT papers, for AQA marking the new GCSE specifications in English and for Edexcel marking English Language IGCSE papers. She is a Specialist Leader of Education in the Poole area, providing coaching support for English departments in other secondary schools. Her own teaching standards have been rated as outstanding. Sarah is supported by a professional team who also have the same drive to enable students to achieve beyond their own expectations. As Teach Perfect matures, we will add more subjects to our learning programme and more teaching professionals will join us. However, we will never lose sight of our mission, which is to ensure every one of our students is taught by an exceptional tutor and their life chances are improved.

Having personally grownup and lived the maktab/madrasah education experience in the 80’s and 90’s and started teaching in the late 90’s to the present day, coupled with fatherhood, I have had the opportunity to build a close understanding and interest in making sure our community can provide a learning experience to young Muslims that is relevant and relatable for the world they live in. This is despite the limitations we have in resourcing and time. In a time when our children are surrounded with competing ideologies and ways of living, and with maktab education being foundational to their lives as Muslims, it is critical that it hits home for them as independently thinking individuals. I would like to thank our wonderful teachers and parents over the years for their trust and belief in the vision that there was always a better way to educate our children. Teachers have worked tirelessly to develop the curriculum whilst simultaneously delivering it diligently. Keeping one eye on current student progress and an eye on the horizon. Holistically, we also support family sessions alongside the children, in parallel workshops called The Parenthood Academy: Self development for parents, as well as exploring strategies on progressive parenting for the millennials. The multi award-winning Manhood Academy for Boys was birthed by 8 men who shared a single vision. Following a trip to Gambia by 4 of the co-founders of Manhood Academy, in February 2016 a community call out brought them together in the same room, meeting at an Ethiopian restaurant in South London. At the end of the round table meeting they unanimously chose to “Be the change we wish to see in the world” by collectively establishing The Manhood Academy.Each founder previously holding a distinguished track record in youth work, from a BAFA award winning senior educator to working on the streets of London with urban youth. The Manhood Academy officially launched to the community at Park View Academy, London on October 15th, 2016.A curriculum was co-designed from the collective wealth of experience of the founders, and the nameManhood Academy, Womanhood Academy & Parenthood Academy were coined. Established under the umbrella (CIC) community interest company name: Lifehood Academy on 15 May 2017. The Manhood Academy program was implemented with the intention of exposing our young people to character building experiences, tests and master classes.All geared towards shifting young people’s paradigm, from the chronic news headlines, school disenfranchisement and stereotypes some of our young people manifest as a self-fulfilling prophecy.
