Yoga is far more than a work-out, it is a way of life and a journey of self-discovery. Whether in a busy class or in a private lesson, Kerrie's aim is to enable everyone to feel the practice is just perfect for them in that moment.......leaving students feeling amazing! MEET KERRIE Hello! I believe in living a life full of joy, laughter, gratitude, and free of judgement. These feelings guide my teaching and practice, which is focused on nurturing students to help them better connect to themselves and to bring about a sense of balance and peace. I have been practicing meditation since a young girl taught by my mother and later as an adult practicing yoga asana too, with many brilliant teachers. My initial Hatha Yoga teacher training (200 hours) was with Daizan Roshi, a Zen Master and monk in the rigorous Rinzai tradition of Zen. He studied with the forefather of Ashtanga Yoga, Sri Pattabhi Jois in India. This Zen focus means mindfulness is at the heart of my practice, developing focus, awareness and suppleness on all levels. Training was immersive; away from modern life and the outside world. Starting each day at sunrise and finishing after dark, it was intense, inspirational and totally life changing. Training covered alignment, asana, meditation, breath-work, anatomy, philosophy and Zen. My passion for sharing yoga has led to further training in pregnancy and baby yoga (85 hours), restorative Yoga Nidra (40 hours) and Yin Yoga (130 hours; trained with the amazing Bernie Clark!). Most recently I have become certified to work in the areas of therapeutic yoga for cancer care, aligned to the British Society of Integrative Oncology and have also taken part in 'strong throughout menopause' education. Additionally, I have completed advanced training, over a number of years this included the art of sequencing, of adjustments and the subtle body including; Chakras, Bandhas and Prana (500 hours). I also have over 3000 hours teaching experience and am registered with the professional governing body, Yoga Alliance, as a senior designated experienced teacher. I have also had the privilege of staying at Plum Village in France to practice and study Zen and Mindfulness under the teachings of world renowned Zen Master and global peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. An absolutely incredible experience and such beautiful teachings, that I continue to share with anyone that will listen! My other life passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have spent time exploring India, Japan, Thailand, Borneo, Indonesia, Hawaii, Malaysia, Mexico, Canada, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Europe and many other beautiful places. I bring together and share my experiences of yoga from those places too.

At DreamBigKidz we are passionate about developing the emotional strengths that they need to aspire, achieve and excel. Our inspirational events include a range of activities to excite the passions and interests of children, while crucially teaching important areas of emotional intelligence, such as self esteem, resilience, handling anger and self confidence. We run single sessions as well as group sessions. In the latter, we provide fun activities to develop the students further at home, as well as optional parental / carer support. We want every child and teenage to complete the sessions with a big sense of achievement. Therefore a lot of energy goes into encouraging them with support, rewards, treats and other incentives. I provide coaching and careers guidance. I work as a freelance consultant, based in Beckenham (in the London borough of Bromley). Here you can read more about me and how I work. For many years I worked for Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery, which in 2013 merged and became part of Health Education England. My work was focused on careers, training and education for the NHS. I became a careers adviser in 2009, gaining a PG Dip in Careers Education at the University of Warwick. During this period, I mainly worked with doctors, either on a 1:1 basis or in group sessions. I helped them choose their medical specialities, as well as supporting them through a competitive interview process. Since the summer of 2017 I have worked as a freelance coach and careers consultant. I provide business to business careers consultancy and also work with private clients. My private coaching clients are mainly adults, from college students to people that want to undergo a career change. I help with career choice, coaching and careers guidance to improve any aspect of work or work/life balance. I also work with people who need help and advice to set up their own businesses. How I work My philosophy is to work with clients using ‘unconditional positive regard’ as the foundation stone of my practice. Carl Rogers, a humanistic psychologist in the 1950s, first developed this as a concept. This means I work from a place of having utmost respect for my client. I work in a holistic way, which helps the client find their own learning and life and helps people who want to change. I may explore with the client: questions relating to life purpose, the quality of relationships (work and home), feelings, career and health. BPS qualified in the use of psychometric assessments, I am trained in the Type Dynamics Indicator. I am also on on the Careers Development Institute registered list of career development professionals.
