Set during World War 2, the film charts the amazing invention by two sisters of a computer that's able to show glimpses of the future. Private View - Join Us For Drinks Thursday 14th November, 6pm to 9pm We are thrilled to announce our second exhibition this month, “BECOMING”, a solo show by the talented Nigerian artist Maduka Emmanuel Onyebuchi. “BECOMING” marks Maduka’s debut solo exhibition, showcasing an exclusive collection of brand-new works created specifically for this occasion. Known for his striking hyperrealistic style, Maduka has captivated collectors and visitors alike in both Nigerian and the United States in group exhibitions, including previous shows at our gallery. In this latest body of work, Maduka explores his personal journey, reflecting on the pivotal experiences that have shaped him over time. In each piece, he assigns a crown or halo to his subjects, elevating them as Queens and Kings, symbolizing his belief that everyone possesses an inherent uniqueness and strength. Through these works, he emphasizes that each individual has the power to shape their destiny, confronting life’s challenges and striving relentlessly to carve out their own future.

Jessica has acted in numerous critically-acclaimed series and films over a stunning career, including Spaced, Twenty Twelve, Doctor Who, Years and Years, Paddington 2, Son of Rambow and There She Goes. A celebrated screenwriter and director as well, every student at Central Film School will benefit from hearing Jessica speak, as she offers insight and advice from her time in the entertainment industry. William Friedkin's masterpiece of terror is one of the essential scary films everyone needs to see.

DATE: 31st January TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A Our Greta Gerwig season continues with this adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic, Little Women. Set in 1860s Massachusetts, the film follows the story of the four March sisters, young ladies coming into their adulthood whilst dealing with familial poverty and their place in a patriarchal landscape. Featuring an all-star cast including Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Emma Watson, Laura Dern, Timothee Chalamet, Meryl Streep and Bob Odenkirk, the sophomore release of Gerwig's filmography will make you laugh, cry and punch the air with excitement.

Date: Monday 27th November Location: Studio A Time: 4pm Writer turned director Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, First Reformed) created a unique, avant-garde biopic about notorious Japanese author Yukio Mishima, who embraced Japan's traditions and fought against the gradual westernisation that became common following the end of World War Two. Using adaptations of sections of his novels, as well as traditional recounting of real-life events, this film sticks out as one of Schrader's best, and continues to inspire awe and heated discussion years later.
