After finishing school I was fortunate enough to be chosen for another full time scholarship place at Millennium Dance 2000 College for 3 years performing arts training. Even with all this incredible training I still look back fondly at the small performing arts school I attended one night a week in Leeds : Scala Kids. I owe a lot of my skills to the training I received there and would look forward to going to my classes every week without the pressure of taking exams or doing competitions. I was made to feel like part of the "Scala" family and felt free to be creative and express my talents. This is how I want the Theatre Skills Academy to be- a place where kids can come to be creative, build confidence, feel equal, learn new skills, improve their talents, and have FUN. All the teachers at TSA have vast experience as both a professional performer and teacher and have a lot of knowledge to offer the children. Every lesson will work on different theatrical skills, whether it be building confidence, improving co-ordination, developing facial expressions, or performance technique. The classes run during term times, with holiday courses on offer in all the main school breaks. Each term will finish with a presentation for family and friends to come and see how their budding little performers have developed. Members also have the option to join TSA Children's Agency with the opportunity to attend professional castings for shows, film, TV and radio.

Hello and welcome to GH Learning Centre, a Training Centre for Dental Nurses. At GH Learning Centre we academically transform students into professional dental nurses. The whole team including the admin staff is qualified in the dental field. Our lecturers and Internal Quality Assurers have vast experience in the field and some are examiners for the National Examination Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN). We thrive to improve the British dental system through training and releasing qualified and committed professionals into the field of dental services. Our Philosophy The Training Centre takes pride in fostering a sense of determination and professionalism in our students. We achieve this by promoting excellence, integrity and honesty which we believe goes far beyond the classroom. We recognise the need to focus on each student as an individual in order to bring out the best in them. Our History The Training Centre was founded in January 2014 with a vision to provide a wide spectrum of dental professionals. The Centre is growing from strength to strength and now has 2 Centres in Wembley and Southall. Learning environment We have face to face classes at the Training Centre, online classes as well as blended classes. Sessions are carried out in a relaxed environment and are tutor led so you have an opportunity to ask questions and take part in group discussions and interact with other students. If you miss a session, do not worry, sessions are recorded so you can always catch up later. On completion of the syllabus, thorough revision classes are carried out in preparation for the exam. Amplify is a training and development consultancy led by Tom Burke. Founded in 2003, amplify provides services primarily to the voluntary sector with a focus on children and youth issues both in the UK and in the Global South. Tom has an extensive history of personal, professional and voluntary work with children and young people and the wider voluntary sector. From a child involved in youth work and global child rights advocacy, he developed skills and experience as a practitioner and advocate. He can bring this mix of experiences into work as a trainer, writer and consultant. Most recently, Tom was Deputy Chief Executive at Y Care International, the international development agency of the YMCA movement. He led their International Citizen Service youth volunteering programme, safeguarding & security, global youth work, policy & advocacy and financial management. Working part-time this was balanced with a range of freelance projects. Previously, Tom grew up in the youth and child rights movement. As a young activist, he was a member of the steering group of the Child Rights Caucus at the UN Special Session on Children and director of social enterprise ‘Young People Change the World’. He was engaged in local youth participation initiatives creating platforms for young people to be heard or to access services, including in sexual health and children in care. Tom was Chair of Trustees of youth-focussed international development charity Peace Child International. He was previously Senior Policy and Change Officer at the Children’s Rights Alliance for England, where he specialised in children’s participation rights, undertaking policy analysis, Parliamentary lobbying and campaigning for change. Over the past 15 years, he has undertaken consultancy for a range of clients on projects ranging from safeguarding, inclusion, evaluation and research projects, training and direct delivery.

Touch Typing is an essential life skill and we find that children who learn accurately to literally type without looking at their fingers, will save time in producing homework and in exams etc. As experienced Specialist Teachers, we are able to effectively differentiate and individualise touch typing challenges so that all students achieve their potential. Multi-sensory learning, through games and incentives, create a brilliantly fun atmosphere in which children aged 7 upwards, thrive! We have children who want to learn good basic typing skills and those who need this skill in order to type for GCSEs, and A Level exams. Note taking, punctuation skills and real time typing under pressure are also explored with the advanced students. An encouraging, motivating and uplifting environment is created in which children of all learning abilities thrive. We specialise in helping children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia and hypermobility as well as for those just want to learn it as a life skill, or for application towards the skill section of the DofE levels. Our testimonies tell of children literally loving the courses to such an extent, that they often come back time and time again, bringing their siblings and friends for follow up courses!
