The VIDYA Foundation is a team of volunteers from the slums of south Delhi who have stayed or are a resident of the slums. These volunteers are helping their fellow slum people/ students with the intent to raise them up socially and economically via education has been transforming and impacting lives by their selfless and remarkable contribution. Most of these volunteers were once students of TVF have done their college from Delhi University and today are well-placed and working in reputed MNCs of Delhi and Gurgaon.

Since our establishment in 2008, TGF responds to the needs and ambitions of the Cambodian communities we work with. We have constructed health centres and schools, invested in infrastructure projects, established a community savings programme, diversified agricultural activities, and more. Amity Educational Foundation was set up by parents and teachers who are inspired by the teachings of Muslim scholar and peace advocate Fethullah Gülen. Mr Gülen was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Education by Leeds Metropolitan University in 2010. We aim to support our beneficiaries via the implementation of social and educational activities which increases confidence, vision, and aspirations with respect to the wider world. Furthermore, we also like to complement cultural differences thus promote community cohesion.

Marathon Sports Foundation is an approved Training Provider within the sport education sector, offering a wide range of support services with highly qualified professionals. In the past 15 years Marathon Sports foundation has been dedicated to supporting young elite talent though qualified programmes which provide and develop the knowledge within a sports performance environment. Along with a range of sports qualifications Marathon Sports Foundation has achieved CPD certification of which a number of key sports related subjects will be launched in early 2021.

Julian Campbell Foundation is dedicated to my brother Julian. Through his struggles and suicide, we have seen the importance of support, identifying and managing mental health whilst young and in teenage years. Through this service, it is our aim to reduce self-harm and death due to suicide.My brother Julian had bipolar disorder. My brother was intelligent, talented, and a delight. He was far more intelligent than his years. When he was 11 years old and I was 13, I remember being very excited because I was going to the school disco for the first time in my life. My mum was only allowing me to go because my brother was coming, too.

We met away from our home countries and settled in England decades ago. We are both keenly aware of how fortunate we have been in escaping the tragedy and destruction caused by war, occupation and poor governance. We also realise the importance of a strong civil society and the rule of law, of exposure to diversity and tolerance and the lasting impact of a good education. We established the Asfari Foundation in 2006, after years of reactive giving. We wanted to create a long-term impact that focuses on the issues we felt most passionately about – education, and the building of a strong civil society which is the foundation for any fair, resilient, sustainable and productive society. We are proud of what the Foundation has accomplished in its short life. Whilst there is no limit to what should be done, especially in the countries we originally came from, through our partners we have provided scholarships, fellowships and training to hundreds of young people across the UK and the Middle East, established the Asfari Centre for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American University in Beirut and provided relief and education to tens of thousands of Syrians, displaced following the recent uprising, to name just a few programmes. Young people deserve a good education and the right to live in tolerant and pluralistic societies. So much ability cannot be wasted. Hope for a better life will not die in the face of today’s grim realities, especially in the Middle East. We want to play a small role in realising the potential of the youth, to make manifest our shared dreams of a safer, more inclusive and happier tomorrow.

jags foundation

A true life story of losing a teenage son in the prime of his life. JAGS is an acronym of James Andre Godfrey Smartt-Ford, and a youth focused organisation, set up by James's mother, Tracey Ford, following his tragic murder. James was attending a friend's birthday party inside Streatham Ice-skating Rink, on a busy Saturday evening, when he was shot in front of over 300 people. He did not live to see his 18th birthday. Through the delivery of co-educational and life skills training for young people in local communities, JAGS works across neighbouring South London Boroughs including Croydon, Lambeth, Merton and Wandsworth to raise awareness, build resilience of parents and children through community cohesion.
