It’s why our unique combination of coaching, training and therapy lets us focus on the bigger picture of your potential, performance and wellbeing, in ways no-one else can. Since that time, we have extended our range of psychological services into the realms of corporate training, coaching and consultancy. We are based in London and the Isle of Man but carry out consultancy work throughout Europe and the United States. We’re leaders in our fields who are passionate about the transformative power of what we do. We use our years of training to give you a toolkit of psychological skills so that you can be the best version of yourself. Whether we’re providing therapy to clients with serious conditions like PTSD, depression or anxiety, or coaching people who want to perform at their absolute peak at work, people come to us because they are making an investment in their long-term future. All our work is informed by our values of empowerment, trust and kindness, and all of it is underpinned by our down-to-earth approach that means that while we take what we do seriously, we take ourselves a lot less seriously. Our job, as we see it, is to create lasting behaviour change that transforms lives (and careers). We’re not just interested in what’s happening in your workplace, but also what’s happening in your head and your heart. When you’re ready, we’d love to talk to you about making you better.

Haringey Sixth Form Centre

London,

Haringey Sixth Form College is committed to helping you achieve your goals, whether you want to go on to study at a university or get your first job. All of our students’ achievements matter! Congratulations to all of our students on yet another set of outstanding results and achievements! Haringey Sixth Form College celebrated outstanding successes, marking another year of excellent academic and personal achievements for students at the college. Lisa Westray, Principal, said, "We are thrilled with the outstanding success of our students. We are delighted to see so many of our students achieving their expected places at a wide range of Universities. These achievements demonstrate that this College is continuously providing high quality education to students in the Haringey and North London area. Our students feel challenged and supported to achieve their very best.” Lisa continued “Students and staff have worked incredibly hard over the past year and we are really proud. Our students now leave us for the next exciting chapter in their lives as they take up their places at university or employment, or begin their gap year. Our first year students have laid excellent foundations for the coming year and I know they will continue to push themselves. New students can be confident that, with hard work and dedication, they too will be successful at Haringey Sixth Form College. Some of our students were able to overcome really challenging circumstances to achieve excellent results. This was partly due to the support and guidance given to them by the college and due to their hard work. Partnership working is all part of #TeamHaringey6. I would like to once again thank all #TeamHaringey6 staff for going the extra mile with our students, and to parents and carers for their continued support”. There are many examples of outstanding student achievement at the college. Sherfina Odumanye is one of these. Sherfina worked incredibly hard in her second year, pushing herself constantly to improve. Her growth and development as a student were wonderful to witness. One of the traits that Sherfina has as a student, which will continue to serve her well in her future academic and professional careers, is her willingness to take on feedback and apply it to her ever-developing voice as a writer and critical thinker. We are also impressed by her ambition and drive to produce exemplary work. Sherfina achieved three As and we couldn’t be prouder of her. Sherfina is going on to study Law at University of Exeter. She commented, “Effort and hard work really pays off! If you don’t work hard, you don’t get the grades. I got an A in English Language and Literature, Law and Sociology. Teachers really care about your future, they ensure you achieve high grades, but they care about you here as an individual. My Law teacher inspired me to consider Law at university.” Salim Farah is another student who arrived at Haringey Sixth Form College, having not quite achieved the GCSE’s results he had hoped for. Over the two years, we worked to improve his academic ability and self-confidence and have witnessed Salim blossom into an outstanding student, achieving two As and a B in his A-levels. Salim is planning to study Law at SOAS. Despite the national variability due to the impact COVID had nationally, we are delighted with our excellent results this year.

Starlight Temple

starlight temple

London

Spirituality for me began as a search for happiness. In my late teens, I realized that I didn't know how to be happy. I started to read self-help books which eventually lead to spiritual workshops. Meeting people who could channel spirit guides inspired me to learn how to channel and life was never the same again! Channeling is the Divine Conversation that we have with life and that is where I found my happiness. I have worked with people and lands all over the world, flowing the flow of my own Divine conversation to be of Service to Humanity at this time of immense change and transformation. All of Starlight's Offerings are about bringing magic to life. The root word of magic is the same as the root word of power is means to be able or to be capable. The Tools, Guidance Ceremonies, and Processes that Starlight Temple offers are all ways that have helped me become more capable and live more magically. Living magically to me is all about living in connection. We were all born to be in connection -with ourselves, with the Earth, with the Cosmos, and with each other. Through channeling practices, shadow healing, ceremony, tantra and land work we can all come back into connection and in doing so live more of our potential, fulfill our paths, and experience the happiness of belonging. For me, spirituality is all about learning to Live it, learning how to become the change we want to see in the world. There are many tools and it is all about finding the ones that resonate with you. Kahreela x The four pillars of Starlight Temple are Channeling and Connection, Ceremony and the Temples Ways, Shadow work and Temple Alchemy, Ceremony and Earth work, Journeys and Portals. All of my offerings and energetic work happen through The Starlight Temple, be it online, in person or on the land. The Starlight Temple is the name of my path, which I have always sensed is an energetic Dragon – an alchemical Dragon, made of ancient wisdom and the magic of many guides, goddesses, spirits and star ones. The Starlight Dragon carries magic into the Temple and into the world, creating change, direction, flow and Alchemical change wherever it is called to fly. This Dragon is ancient memory that is invites you to walk and live the old ways. This Dragon is a fierce guardian of Gaia and those who serve her by healing themselves and their shadows. This Dragon is magnetic and will call you to ride through the dimensions until you understand yourself more deeply. The Starlight Temple is all about connection; connection to self, life, the universe and spirit. Our path is about learning to connect, channel and live the divine conversation. Starlight’s workshops, courses, one to ones, ceremonies and journeys are all dedicated to helping people find empowerment in their lives and as they walk their spiritual paths. We believe that spirituality is something you experience, that every person's truth is unique and that everyone's truth makes up the whole truth of the Universe. The events that we do are about holding space for people to have an experience of their truth, ultimately our work is about love - ways and tools of learning to Love the Earth, Life, Each other and our own self more. Starlight Temple is a space overflowing with ways of doing spirituality that can be incorporated into your everyday life, so that your path, your truth and love can be lived more fully!

World Cancer Research Fund

world cancer research fund

London

World Cancer Research Fund is a UK charity that examines how diet, weight and physical activity affect your risk of developing and surviving cancer. On this page > Our work > Our values > Our Expert Reports > Our policy work > Raising awareness > How we operate As part of an international network of charities, we’ve been funding life-saving research, influencing global public health policy and informing the public since 1982. While society continues to search for a cure, our prevention and survival work helps people to live longer, happier and healthier lives – free from the devastating effects of cancer. Since 1990, World Cancer Research Fund has invested more than £110m in cancer prevention and survival research. And it’s all thanks to our amazing supporters! Around 40% of cancers in the UK could be prevented – that’s nearly 155,000 cases every year. Eating a healthy diet, being more active each day and maintaining a healthy weight are, after not smoking, the most important ways you can reduce your cancer risk. Our work A cornerstone of our research is the Global Cancer Update Programme. It’s the world’s largest source of scientific research on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity. In autumn 2022, we published our review of evidence on how a woman’s risk of dying after a breast cancer diagnosis is affected by her weight, diet and physical activity. We translate the results of our research into accurate, accessible, easy-to-understand information. By funding research and delivering health information programmes – such as Living with cancer, for cancer survivors, and Eat Move Learn for children and families – we empower people to make healthier lifestyle choices. When World Cancer Research Fund was established, scientific research into the links between diet and cancer was in its infancy. Since then, our network has funded millions in cancer prevention research and awareness-raising programmes. Now all mainstream scientists accept that diet, weight and physical activity can affect our risk of cancer and people are more aware of how their lifestyle plays a role.

Sohbet Society

sohbet society

London

Sohbet Society is a non-profit organisation (limited by guarantee company registration no.11613566) providing religious learning and spiritual activities for Muslims. Sohbet is a Turkish word and means ‘to talk, converse, discuss and engage with one another in a friendly, caring, warm and informal manner’. In our context, we use the word sohbet to mean to converse with one another in a study or discussion circle on the big questions of God, purpose, meaning, faith, religion, and society. Through Sohbet Society, we provide opportunity for religious learning and spiritual growth and development for Muslims in Britain. We achieve this through a series of activities including study groups, mentoring, outreach, retreats, excursions and social action. Religious and spiritual learning is achieved through semi-structured study groups as well as practical experiences such as social action and retreats. In all, we aim to offer a friendly, positive and constructive form of authentic religious expression and an environment for genuine spiritual experience that speaks both to the mind and heart, to the personal and social needs of the individual. We believe this nurtures a religious understanding and spiritual mindset that emphasises peaceful social relations and respect for human diversity and dignity. Sohbet Society is an active component of Hizmet, an Islamically inspired social movement that focuses on education, dialogue, and disaster and poverty relief work. It originated in Turkey in the 1970s based on the teachings and scholarship of Fethullah Gülen, an Islamic scholar and peace advocate. Today, Hizmet is active in over 160 countries worldwide. Like other social movements Hizmet includes formalised entities and organisations, but is largely based on informal networks and practices. The Sohbet Society is now formalising Hizmet’s pre-existing informal grass-roots religious activism in the UK in order to achieve greater visibility, transparency, professionalism, and structure so that we may be able to diversify the people who benefit from our services and to further develop our projects and services.

Community Youth London

London

Community Youth London (CYL) is an independent music and media charity which manages a variety of community-based services and initiatives, the majority of which are youth-oriented and led. CYL has developed many approaches with the aim of overcoming barriers to access so-called ‘hard to reach’ groups using targeted youth support programmes, marketing campaigns, outreach and alternative activities. These expertise’s have been successfully applied to our services and proven effective in attracting young people who have traditionally shied away from other initiatives. Through our work with celebrities, popular artists and respected community figures, we have gained the trust of young people in many disadvantaged areas. As an alternative measure to historical behaviour orders and restorative justice programs, CYL has delivered a range of one to one plus group programs that have been proven to not only help young people leave but also to stay away from a life of crime. Our charity became operational in January 2007 and quickly gained a positive reputation for our targeted work with young people, our approach to diversity and our innovative services. Since inception, CYL has grown from a vision to a reputable charity with an impressive track record and a growing database of over 47,000+ young people who work in London and the UK. Taking a multi agency approach towards addressing the needs of young people who are often marginalised, excluded or hard to reach.

We connect artists, neighbours and audiences through investigative, collaborative and creative activities at our studios and beyond. Artist and female-led since we were founded, Siobhan Davies Studios has been part of the contemporary dance landscape since the 1980s. Our studios are a place to play, question and experiment and we bring this spirit into all areas of our work. In the last five years, shaped by leadership changes, we have renewed focus on bringing marginalised voices to the fore to evolve a broader community of artists, participants, audiences and workers. We engage the public through classes, performances and co-created participatory activities prioritising engagement with local communities. From 2020, increased budgets in access support for artists and audiences aim to break the status quo of privilege surpassing inclusion. Current local partnerships include working with neighbouring Charlotte Sharman primary school, and charities Su Mano Amiga and Good Chance Theatre. Our award-winning public arts building is in the diverse and densely populated area of Elephant and Castle. We share our space with Independent Dance, with whom we hold Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation consortium status. Find out more about visiting our studios here.
