Our mission at Diamond Sportz is to give children and adults a chance to access high-level martial arts and sports. Children's first sporting experience is so important as it can influence them to go on to better things if taught properly. This is done through upskilling teachers, instructors and sports coaches in how to deliver high-quality PE and martial arts lessons. Portrait painting of Master Gilbert Graham and his students About Master Gilbert Graham My name is Senior Master Gilbert Graham and welcome to Diamond Sportz. I am a qualified school teacher my specialist subject is physical education (PE) I'm also a martial arts instructor and I started training in Taekwondo in 1986 at Panther Taekwondo, I gained my black belt in 1990 and wanted a new challenge, so I started going on different coaching courses to increase my coaching knowledge. While studying for my teaching degree I joined an organisation called Teachsport. With Teachsport, I went on to develop a school's martial arts program which involves going into primary schools and teaching children taekwondo and fitness. Once I graduated from University, I decided to introduce martial arts as a PE option to our Teachsport programme to help children with their coordination and confidence. We now run numerous after- school clubs throughout London and the south east, covering a range of different sports. I have recently gained the status of vice president at Panther Taekwondo and Song Moo Kwan England my duties include safeguarding and wellbeing of students and instructors. I now work in schools in Haringey, Lewisham and Redbridge teaching PE and supporting teachers in how to deliver good to outstanding PE.

Touch Typing for Kids

touch typing for kids

LONDON

Touch Typing is an essential life skill and we find that children who learn accurately to literally type without looking at their fingers, will save time in producing homework and in exams etc. As experienced Specialist Teachers, we are able to effectively differentiate and individualise touch typing challenges so that all students achieve their potential. Multi-sensory learning, through games and incentives, create a brilliantly fun atmosphere in which children aged 7 upwards, thrive! We have children who want to learn good basic typing skills and those who need this skill in order to type for GCSEs, and A Level exams. Note taking, punctuation skills and real time typing under pressure are also explored with the advanced students. An encouraging, motivating and uplifting environment is created in which children of all learning abilities thrive. We specialise in helping children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia and hypermobility as well as for those just want to learn it as a life skill, or for application towards the skill section of the DofE levels. Our testimonies tell of children literally loving the courses to such an extent, that they often come back time and time again, bringing their siblings and friends for follow up courses! At Touch Typing for Kids, we teach children how to improve their speed and accuracy. If you'd like more information about our children's touch typing lessons, drop us an email. Seth and Delia's years of specialist teaching experience put them in an excellent position to differentiate typing objectives for the individual learner during these multi-sensory touch typing courses. Teaching this skill is one of the many hats Delia and Seth wear during their working life, as they both run the Hampstead Dyslexia Clinic (Est. 1984) and individually run the Hampstead Dyslexia Consultancy and London Dyslexia Clinic.

La Petite Ecole FranƧaise

London

La Petite Ecole Française (PEF) is an independent French school that follows the French national education system. The school is part of the AEFE (Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Etranger) and enables its students to progress to existing French speaking schools in London. PEF has been awarded French Education Nationale ‘Homologation’ status for all its levels from Petite Section to CM2. The ‘Homologation’ confirms that the school is following the learning methods and objectives of the French curriculum. The school caters for up to 190 children from the age of 3 to 11, after which they progress to schools such as the Lycée Français, Ecole Primaire Jacques Prévert or the Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill. There are currently two Petite Section classes, one Moyenne Section class, one Grande Section class, and a double-level MS/GS. In the primary section, there are double-level classes for CP/CE1 and CE2/CM1 and a single-level class for CM2. The classes are intentionally kept small so that each child can be given the special attention they require. La Petite Ecole Française was founded in 1983. At the end of June 2010 the school relocated to 73 Saint Charles Square. The current location is ideal for a nursery school; it is set away from the main road, the playground is large and the classrooms are light and well designed. The school operates from two ground floors and a first floor, which have been extensively refurbished, whilst maintaining a homely feel. Entry is non-selective and we invite those who are interested to make an appointment with the office to visit the school. However, as the school follows the French national education system and the majority of the lessons are in French, the children are expected to be conversant in French (only for Primary levels) prior to joining the school.

Therefore, we only offer tuition from active and dynamic performers with an extensive performance experience and Degrees in instrumental performance from renowned world’s top class conservatories. We don’t want you to waste your time with amateurs. Why would you? Director's vision The Masters Music School is run by Przemek Dembski – a multi-award winning concert pianist and teacher and a graduate with distinction from the Royal College of Music in London. Przemek’s performances have taken him to many venues across the UK and Europe including Royal Albert Hall, Steinway Hall, St.Martin in the Fields, St. James’ Picaddily to name just a few. Please click here to visit Przemek’s personal website Please click here to visit Przemek’s teaching profile on TMMS website Effective learning and practising techniques Being a professional means being efficient. It is commonly considered that it takes ages to learn playing an instrument. The Masters Music School is here to help. We believe that by sharing our methods of practising and learning (and this is what we do every day) we will enable you to progress faster than you could even imagine! It’s not only about how much we practise, but it’s also about HOW we practise. Want to know our tips, tricks and techniques? Learning and performance psychology Our tutors have received advanced teacher training covering aspects of psychology, methodology and how to manage performance anxiety. This makes them able to take a problem-solving approach in lessons and makes the teaching/learning process effective and gratifying. There’s certainly nothing more motivating for the student than progressing quickly. There’s also nothing more motivating for us than seeing you gaining the confidence and developing your skills and potential! Technique as a key to sucess Understanding the energy transformations and physical processes that occur to one’s body while performing is a key-point in teaching the instrumental technique. No matter if our students play for pleasure or if they want to achieve some professional goals, they need to be given tools which will enable them to fully express their personality and create their own interpretation. As learning the technique is similar to learning the language (learning HOW TO SPEAK), our method puts a strong emphasis on preparing some tools that let the music exist- the quality of sound and technique are strongly prioritised from the first lesson. Innovative and flexible lesson content Fed up with studios offering standard and boring lesson content? No problem. We tailor our lessons for your needs in terms of repertoire and approach, whether you want to perform for yourself, for your friends, at a party or in the concert hall. As well as offering classical tuition (including preparing for graded exams), we enjoy teaching a range of styles and approaches to performance. Want to improvise? Want to play your favourite song by ear? Want to compose your own piece? Just let us know. The crazier the ideas that you have the more fun we will have during the lesson!

Our project vision is to create vibrant local, regional and European learning communities, fuelled by Regional Learning Facilitators. We need new organisational concepts and ownership of issues and concerns from the crowd. Our approach lies in analog and digital networking and support structures that take into account the value of informal networks. The key message of the project is: “When we share, we win”. By learning communities, we mean forms of exchange and cooperation organised by ourselves or supported by the community, which ideally are supported by the involvement of education authorities. The Learning Communities deal with solutions to upcoming problems in everyday education, with challenges of the education system at different system levels, with the creation, exchange and further development of teaching materials, etc. The Learning Communities are also involved in the development of new teaching materials and in the development of new teaching methods. As concrete project goals, we see: the training of 24 Regional Learning Community Facilitators at least 12 Regional Learning Communities in 4 European countries the creation of a European cross-border learning community with at least 48 active members The development of a Learning Community Facilitator Curriculum, which will later become a standard KA1 workshop offer. the development of an AI-supported passive networking platform for teachers and school stakeholders to test a further development option for eTwinning that currently relies only on active search functions Our target group is teachers and their reference system. Our aim is to indirectly support the work of the teachers and to facilitate their planning, implementation and follow-up of their lessons by focusing on the principles of cooperation and exchange. Through active networking, but also by pointing out connection possibilities, teachers should no longer have the feeling of being alone in the corridor but embedded in a professional system that also brings them more self-confidence and self-efficacy.
