(6-8yrs) Jazz and modern is perfect for the kids who just can't stop moving when One Direction and Beyonce come on the telly! Using a range of music from the latest pop songs to great musical theatre songs (old and new!) JazzPops offers a range of dance throughout the term with a dash of some musical games. We also sneak in some dance technique from the ISTD Modern Theatre Syllabus. But don't tell the children that, they are having too much fun! TRIAL BOOKINGS: Of course you are welcome to watch the trial class but following the trial, WhizzDancers are expected to be independent in the room. TERM BOOKINGS: You are welcome to watch the first class but following this your WhizzDancer will be expected to go in the class independently. You will be expected to provide full uniform. 1 DAY T-SHIRT PRINTING WORKSHOP £75.00 The perfect introduction to t-shirt screen printing, our beginner workshop is ideal for anyone interested in learning the complete screen printing process or simply looking to print some t-shirts with their own design for a special occasion. The sessions will run from 10am – 4pm with a 1 hour break for lunch. The day will be split as follows: Morning After a short intro into the studio and the process you’ll guided through how to coat and expose your design onto your screen. Afternoon After lunch we’ll cover ink mixing and the process of setting up the t-shirt carousel ready for printing. When the screens are dry and colours are chosen everyone will have a go at printing their t-shirts. The sessions will run from 10am – 4pm with a 1 hour break for lunch, a great opportunity to sample one of the many food kiosks located on levels 5 and 6 of the building. The day will be split as follows: Morning After a short intro into the studio and the process you’ll guided through how to coat and expose your design onto your screen. Afternoon After lunch we’ll cover ink mixing and the process of setting up the paper bed ready for printing. Learn to use your overlocker! Bring your overlocker to class and I will teach you all you need to know about threading it, changing it from 3/4 thread and back, changing the needles, adjusting stitch length and differential feed etc. I only have one overlocker here and in any case it is definititely something you want to do on your own, so you will need to bring your machine to this class.

Francesca Wyllie (BA Hons Fine Art) has an amazing north-facing art studio at El Retiro in Andalucia, which was purpose-built to accommodate painting groups. Bespoke painting and sculpture workshops can be arranged or Francesca can travel locally to guide you in your own studios or locations.

1 DAY FABRIC PRINTING WORKSHOP £75.00 The perfect introduction to fabric screen printing, our beginner workshop is ideal for anyone interested in learning the complete screen printing process or simply looking to print some tea towels or cushion covers with their own design for a special occasion. The sessions will run from 10am – 4:00pm (subject to class size) with a 30 min break for lunch. The day will be split as follows: Morning After a short intro into the studio and the process you’ll guided through how to coat and expose your design onto your screen. Afternoon After lunch we’ll decide on colours and select print pastes and go through the process of setting up the fabric tables ready for printing. When the screens are dry everyone will have a go at printing their fabric. Each person will walk away with 1 metre of fabric printed with their own 1 or 2 colour design. Learn to sew a child's garment in this long (6 hours ish) day class. I stock the Two Stitches patterns (https://www.twostitchespatterns.com/printed-patterns-1) and one of these is included in your class fee. I also have patterns for quite a few simple baby and toddler garments you can use. Once you ket me know what you want to make and what size I will let you know how much and what kind of fabric you need and what else you need to bring. This is a fairly high paced class so you need to be ok with threading up etc aline and know how to make seams, backstitch etc. The sewing won't be complex but we won't have time to explain how a machine works. If you are not sure please do a beginners or refresher's class first.

Learn to applique, learn what tools and tricks you need to really make this work for you. Also get to grips with the really free and artistic free motion machine embroidery technique. Set your machine free to draw with it, combined with applique you can make stunning art! This is a very practical and hands on class which will see you appliqueing & free motion stitching in no time, the techniques are easily mastered so you can spend your time creating. Part of a 4 day quilting course, but suitable as a stand alone course too.

Right before Christmas, NYE and holidays will make some of us more lazy, I am happy to invite you to practice with me the first of the last two Yin Practice for this 2022. What is Yin Yoga? Yin Yoga is a Yoga style based on keeping positions (or "asanas") for an extended period of time, allowing us to reach and deepen the union between our body and our mind. Learn how to measure, cut and stitch accurate patchwork quilt blocks in this one day workshop. Part of a 4 day quilt course, but suitable as a stand alone class too. This class is a great class to take after the beginners class as the sewing will be mostly straight lines and it will allow you to practice more seams and other skills learned in the beginners class. You will need to know how to handle a sewing machine for this class but it's very much still a class that's achievable for beginners. You will cover design, measuring, cutting, the use of various tools, and stitching.
