Meet Amanda Flewitt, Owner & Trainer: As my 45th birthday is coming up, it got me thinking about how lucky I am to be doing a job I love. I have come a long way, literally, as I was born in New Zealand and moved to the Wirral when I was 2 years old! I’ve always been creative. I gained my Graphic Design degree from Newcastle University, then I worked in the advertising and design industry up and down the country, in Liverpool, Edinburgh, London, and Manchester. But, as it often does in life, fate intervened. I was made redundant 3 times before I was 3- years old and I decided to retrain while looking for another job. I learned how to do nails, and I carried on doing them part-time when I got a job as an Art Director in Manchester. Once I had completed my nail qualifications, I built up a client base in my spare time, carrying out treatments after work and evenings, and eventually renting a small room in a hairdresser’s. My small business grew and I decided to take the plunge to rent a larger premises and even employ staff. On the day I picked up the salon shop sign I got made redundant from the Manchester job! Wow that was not what I was expecting. But forced me to focus on making the most of it and I have never looked back. After owning a few salons in the area I an now based in the a gorgeous room in the very professional Stanlaw Abbey Business Centre, where I offer Private small group and one to one accredited training and even manage to find time to pamper my lovely loyal clients that have followed me over the last 13 years. And I love it! l have also taught beauty and nails, multi media design and even retail at West Cheshire college for 10 years, and community leisure courses in basic skincare and makeup. I love teaching, and I get such a buzz from helping someone to learn a new skill. But even better, is the feeling I get when I know that I have helped them to pursue a completely new career, or to start their own business. I personally teach all my courses, either in small groups or one to one. I love passing on hints, tips, and professional techniques to my students. I always offer them support after the course, and I invite them back to resit it if they feel like they need to. They also get access to a private Facebook group, where they can get support, access videos, and much more. My aim is to have every student leave my courses with not only a sense of achievement, but the confidence and ability to be a fantastic therapist. My work makes me feel proud, and so does juggling my career with being a mother to my wonderful, and cheeky 6-year-old son. He is my motivation, my inspiration, and my constant reminder of why I do what I do every single day. This QR code is unique to you and therefore your ID card acts as your bus pass. If you did not have a pass last year but wish to have one this year (and you live more than 1.5 miles away from your campus and are studying a substantial course), please see the Bursary team in Programme Management to apply. You will be able to travel on the buses without your pass until you have been given your new ID card during your first week. If it is your first year, you will be issued your FREE Warrington’s Own Buses bus pass at enrolment. The bus pass will be printed as a QR code on your College ID card. Your College ID card is also your bus pass, so you must keep it safe and you will need it with you to access Warrington’s Own Buses services by scanning it on the bus. If for any reason at enrolment you do not get a pass on your ID card and you wanted one and are eligible, please see the Bursary/Bus Pass team in Programme Management. Welcome to Evolve Enterprise Established in 2016, Evolve Enterprise offer bespoke support for children from 7-11 who may be at risk of becoming disengaged in mainstream education due to their complex needs and vulnerabilities. We specialise in working with children who struggle to adapt to the demands and expectations of mainstream school and support them and their families through the pathways of assessment, planning and intervention. We offer a therapeutic based alternative provision from our center in Well Lane Primary School (Annex). We aim to to support schools, children and families and, if possible, help them to either re-integrate back to their mainstream school or enable transition into the provision that is most suitable to meet their educational needs at the earliest opportunity. Our therapeutic and nurturing environment is designed to support all our pupils to help them to progress and develop personally, socially and emotionally. We understand the importance to children and their development of being in a mainstream setting and spending time with peers and friends but, unfortunately this is not always possible. Our goal for all children who access the Evolve programme is to support them to integrate back into their chosen pathway while supporting schools, parents and other support services with a more strategic and seamless transition. At Evolve we have a strong sense of responsibility to our children and families and believe that by working in partnership we can help them to achieve so much more. Our vision is for Evolve to be a single point of contact for schools, helping manage the day to day support for each individual and, by promoting consistency and structure through our therapeutic learning, we aim to give them a sense of security and belonging. We believe that by offering this it will give a more complete support package and, by working with schools, help to maximise the best outcomes that help to guide some of the most complex and vulnerable children through key stage 2, and beyond, with purpose and guidance.

Our Aims Enbarr are proud to be a practitioner led organisation that does well from doing good. Through this building we aim to :- Reduce financial, social and digital exclusion through training opportunities and social opportunities through its library and community café. Redesign the gardens and grow our own vegetables and create a woodland adventure and help educate a better way of eating to aid the poverty situation that is arising. Support young and unemployed people into quality local jobs at both the John Summers site and further into the community. Provide a sustainable hub for the community, local business and the third sector to meet and collaborate and work on joint projects. To create a museum that celebrates the vast History of the Area that will educate those that follow on the Heritage of the Area and its manufacturing legacy. To create a STEAM environment that is open for all where families, individuals and young people can learn together in their own time and pace.
