Learners will gain the knowledge, skills and competences needed to deal with a wide range of pre-hospital care emergencies, such as: managing a patient’s airways, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more. Endorsed by The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care – The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, this fantastic qualification is perfect for a range of roles in emergency care, such as: Ambulance Care Assistant (PTS), Community First Responder or Event First Responder and more. Learners must be at least 17 years old on the first day of training. There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or equivalent and a basic understanding of first aid. This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide prehospital care to patients requiring emergency care/treatment. The First Aid at Work Requalification course is designed to 'requalify' existing First Aiders and gives candidates the opportunity to learn up-to-date best practices. The course is held regularly at our Medical Education Group Education Centre located near Ellesmere Port. Our first aid requalification training gives learners the chance to update their skills through practical, theoretical and scenario based learning. Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training and be able to perform tasks at floor level. There are no other formal entry requirements but we strongly recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. The Learner needs to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.

The City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Course is the natural progression for anyone who has completed the Level 2 Diploma 2365 course or related level 2 courses. On completion of this course you will then be able to undertake the Level 3 NVQ thus becoming recognised as a fully qualified electrical engineer within the industry with the ability to apply for JIB (Gold Card) membership upon successful completion of the AM2 Assessment. The NVQ Level 3 is designed to provide both new entrants and those seeking progression in their career, with the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the installation and maintenance of Electrotechnical systems. There are two options to complete the NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, these are the C&G 2346 and C&G 2357. Successful completion of the NVQ and AM2 assessment will satisfy the entry criteria for JIB accredited electricians
