Qualified in 2007 as an integrative counsellor Carol began her career working as
a school and college counsellor and also had her own private practice. It was
during her time in private practice that she realised that for every client that
walked through the door she wasn’t always the most appropriate therapist. No
counsellor can be all things to everyone. Counsellors have different specialisms
but may also not be the right match in terms of gender, age, ethnicity etc Carol
set up JHD with the aim of building up a team of counsellors as an organisation
with the aim to ensure each and every client was matched to the most appropriate
therapist in the team. This ethic is still as strong today.
