Introduction Created specifically for the cross‐cultural workplace setting and utilising a blend of interactive role play, DVD presentations and case‐study based discussion, the course provides comprehensive skills training for anyone who must manage or lead a cross‐cultural team or employees. Trainer The trainer is Tony Buon, the Managing Partner of Buon Consultancy. He is a qualified workplace psychologist with over 30 years experience . Tony has worked in over 40 countries. He is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) and Associate Lecturer at the Aberdeen Business School. He holds degrees in Psychology, Behavioural Sciences and Work‐ place Education and trains throughout the UK, Europe, The Middle East & Asia. Tony has worked with some of the world’s leading companies over the past 30 years including; Diageo, Dolphin Energy, DuPont, Gulf Offshore, Halliburton, Hewlett‐Packard, ICI, ING Group, Kuwait Petroleum, Lend Lease, McDonalds, National Australia Bank, PetroChina, Pfizer, Qatar Petroleum, Royal Bank of Scotland, Shell, 3M, Coca Cola and Microsoft. Our *NEW* Mini First Aid Baby Proofing class is our second class, designed for parents and carers of babies and children over 3 months. It can be taken after our 2 hour Baby and Child First Aid class, or in isolation for those parents who are starting their weaning journey, or have a baby on the move!

The course introduces Down syndrome to people who have little experience of working with children with Down syndrome and covers society’s view of Down syndrome, health implications, strengths and weaknesses in the classroom and outlines ways to address the specific learning needs and manage behaviours.

Let’s make it visual — using visual resources to develop the language, communication and literacy skills of children with Down syndromeThis 3 hour course will cover why the written word is used as a visual tool to develop language skills. Methods to develop clarity of speech, grammar, vocabulary, and lengthen sentence utterance will be discussed and illustrated. It will also detail visual timetables, conversation diaries and ideas to develop reading, writing and spelling skills.

Whether starting from scratch or beginning again as an adult after regretting giving up at an earlier age (a most common scenario!), I'm confident you will find what you need here to have a most satisfying hobby or interest that can be done at any age and at any time.

The inclusion of children with Down syndrome - expectations of behaviour By considering the learning profile of a child with Down syndrome and looking at areas of need this one day course will aim to address areas where difficult behaviours may develop. It will look at expectations, appropriate behaviour, including self help skills and go on to outline positive strategies by focusing on wanted behaviour.

This course is delivered over two 2 hour sessions. The first session covers why we use signing with children with Down syndrome and the signs for manners, animals, food, family and other people, and the alphabet. The second session covers signs for the home, school day, colours, descriptions, time/days, questions and connective/link words. Followed by a discussion on how behaviour can be addressed through introducing signing.
