Highfield Level 2 Award for Working as a Security Officer within the Private
Security Industry. The objective of this qualification is to support a role in
the workplace. It is designed for learners wishing to apply for a licence from
the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a security officer and is based
on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications. You must be
over 18 years of age to be able to book onto this course The course will cover
the following topics: Understand the roles and responsibilities of security
officers within the Private Security Industry, as well as codes of practice,
operational procedures and guidelines Understand legislation as it applies to
the individual in carrying out a licensable activity Understand the importance
of safe working practices to comply with legal requirements Understand
