As Paramedics, we’ve heard some myths about first aid from the mildly amusing to
the plainly ridiculous. Some of these have come from people purporting to be
instructors in their field. If you want to learn and understand about something,
the best people to consult with are professionals. The opportunity to save
somebody’s life is a privilege, especially when it works. But this all depends
on the right knowledge at the right time.
