The founder, Colin Serlin, created The Unretiring as a direct result of his own
experiences of retirement. Colin found that even after being trained in
retirement counselling himself, the process of retirement was far more difficult
and challenging than expected. He set out to create a programme that reflected
the many different aspects involved, in turning retirement into the most
productive and satisfying stage of life. This involved looking at: The
