After graduating from the Scottish College of Textiles, Galashiels in 1990 with
a degree in printed textile design I established my studio and business in
Edinburgh. I begin to incorporate free motion embroidery into my work, this is
the technique of drawing freehand with the sewing machine to illustrate an image
or design. Building on my knowledge of garment construction I particularly
specialise in historic stay and corsetry based garments.
