The General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTC Scotland) was set up in 1965. It was created following calls from teachers for a body to ensure teacher standards and was one of the first teaching councils in the world. In 2012, it became the world’s first independent professional and regulatory body for teaching. GTC Scotland’s Council governs GTC Scotland and sets strategic policy. Council membership is set by law. The majority of Council are elected teachers or college lecturers. GTC Scotland sets the standards of professionalism with and for Scotland’s teachers and college lecturers. It is a legal requirement for all teachers working in Scottish schools to be registered with GTC Scotland. In 2018, there was a national agreement to register all lecturers working in Scotland’s colleges through GTC Scotland.

Hello and welcome!  Following many years in the NHS as a senior nurse and educator I founded my company in 2012.  I support individuals, teams and organisations to communicate at their best with a particular interest in conflict, complaints and bringing compassion to life. Working with Scotland’s Ombudsman gave me a unique perspective about the emotional elements often associated with concerns and conflict. And from there I have developed a whole suite of resources to support us communicating at our best, managing conflict and caring for ourselves in the rich rollercoaster of life. I am an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh where I was awarded a Doctor of Science in 2020 for services to nursing.  I am still involved in some part time teaching.  I am also the Chair of North Edinburgh Dementia Care I remain a registered nurse and teacher. And continue to learn using a number of approaches including Appreciative Inquiry, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Mindful Self Compassion. I look forward to welcoming you on one of my courses. Welcome Dear One,   I am Namura, a spiritual teacher, advisor and healer in service of the Light.  From an early age, my connection to the spiritual world led me to explore various meditation, healing and psychic development techniques, both on my own and by attending spiritual development workshops and classes. Being driven to further help others, I therefore got trained as an Archangel Life Coach, Angelic Medium  and as an energy healer practitioner through the Angelic Reiki Association. Always guided by Spirit in my personal practice as well as when working with clients I have become comfortable to mix and match a plethora of tools and methods, such as Energy Healing, Channeling, Psychic Guidance, Light Language, Sacred Geometry, Past Life Regressions, Crystal Healing and more. I also enjoy creating channelled art, which people found to be very healing and powerful. Most of the techniques and meditations presented in Namura's World workshops and classes are a result of my personal experience and my channelling of various Light Beings, such as Angels, Ascended Masters, Spirit Guides, Galactic Light Beings and more. ABC Paramedic Services was set up by our Training and Event Manager, Craig Gray. Craig spent fifteen years working in front line Emergency Services within the Scottish Ambulance Service in Edinburgh. The final six years of this was spent as a First Response Paramedic on a Rapid Response Vehicle dealing predominately with Class A / Red (i.e. potentially life threatening) emergencies. In 2011 Craig became the first Paramedic in the history of the Scottish Ambulance Service to be awarded ‘The Chief Executive’s Special Award’ for displaying the highest levels of commitment and professionalism in his job. Craig’s considerable knowledge and expertise extends to the private sector including delivering First Aid Training to Healthcare Professionals, courses at the Royal College of Surgeons, and providing Medical Cover at events such as ‘T in the Park’, ‘The Edinburgh Tattoo’ and the ‘Queen’s Garden Party’. In 2012, Craig provided Paramedic level cover as Chief Medical Officer at the ‘Urdd National Eisteddfod’ festival in Wales with over 100,000 spectators in attendance. Craig has also employed his medical skills for charitable causes, running a medical clinic in a remote part of North East India as well as being involved in a pioneering ‘out of hospital Cardiac Arrest’ study aimed at improving CPR skills. Craig takes a very personal, hands-on approach to the business and is actively involved in the strategic developments of all training, events, and projects.
