This manual handling course is for businesses who have workers who are exposed to the dangers of manual handling. This course will fulfil requirements set out by the HSE to train staff on how to correctly handle items whilst lifting, pushing and pulling.

Join artist Julie Galante for this in-person workshop, where we’ll take inspiration from the historic city of Edinburgh. Participants of all experience levels are welcome for this friendly, small-group experience.  We’ll start with some guided warm-up sketches before moving on to drawing exercises focused on composition, tone, and observation. By the end of the workshop you’ll feel more confident drawing your surroundings, no matter your previous drawing experience.  Please come dressed for the weather, ready to spend two hours outside. You may also want to bring along a folding stool or a rug to sit on while you draw (there will likely be benches available, but this is unpredictable).  Participants will also need to bring along some basic art supplies:  A sketchbook and/or some drawing paper and board (A4 or larger recommended) Various drawing pens and pencils Charcoal or graphite sticks An eraser Any other favourite art supplies that you may like to use I'll also have some supplies to hand for you to borrow or purchase (please let me know in advance if there's something in particular you need). This five week course, run by Fiona, will run on Thursday mornings from 10.30 til 1. Suitable for beginner and intermediate levels.

£ Enquire Highfields Level 2 Certificate in Digital Skills 180 - 270 hours

This half day course is designed to help managers and supervisors to develop or hone their interviewing skills and ensure that your organisation’s recruitment processes are rigorous but fair. It will cover how to develop an efficient recruitment process, how to read a CV or application form to ensure that you choose the right candidates for interview, how to organise and conduct the interview process and the follow-up procedures. It can be adapted to cover the needs of organisations, statutory agencies or small businesses. Although scheduled as a half day course, it can be extended to cover a whole day to include some role play interviews.
