The National Working Group (NWG) accepts that it is the responsibility of all employers to ensure that their supervisors are competent to carry out their duties.

The NWG for OWS has approved any of the following entry requirements for anyone taking the OWS NVQ or SVQ.
• the individual’s occupational industry experience prior to being registered for the Occupational Work Supervision qualification
• the individual’s ability and experience in supervising teams
• the individual is occupationally competent to at least level 2 or SCQF level 5 in Construction

Awarding Organisations must ensure that candidates provide evidence to demonstrate relevant verifiable experience. The evidence for verifying suitability prior to being registered for the Occupational Work Supervision qualification should meet the following criteria:

candidate provides evidence to demonstrate relevant verifiable experience and competence in their occupational area for example: qualification to N/SVQ Level 2 or SCQF Level 5

Learn to make colourful monotype prints without the need for a press. 
In this 3-hour private class, Lou Davis will take you through how to make a gelatin (vege-gel) printing plate which can be used to print beautiful and colourful works of art.&nbsp;We&rsquo;ll cover a number of techniques including using stencils and masks, adding texture with botanicals and found objects and using household items for mark making and using home-made foam stamps. Textures could be chosen to match the reason for the celebration.

This private class will get you and your friends into the party or festive spirit!&nbsp;On the festive-themed option, calligraphy artist, Panna Chauhan, will show you how to hand-decorate a set of 3 Christmas baubles which you will take home to hang with pride on your tree, or as the perfect, personalised gifts for family and friends.&nbsp;

On this private silver clay jewellery taster class, you can create a pendant, charms and/or a pair of earrings from hallmark-quality silver with metal clay specialist, Anna Campbell of Jewellery School Scotland. &nbsp; You will learn how to make jewellery out of a material called silver clay, which is made up of recycled silver particles, an organic binder and water. On this private silver clay jewellery taster class, you can create a pendant, charms and/or a pair of earrings from hallmark-quality silver with metal clay specialist, Anna Campbell of Jewellery School Scotland.

The origins of microneedling and development of PRP, evolution of treatments, types of equipment and range of applications. Historical perspective and modern day examples of PRP therapies.


M05 – Health & Safety & IPC
H&S legislation, Standard Precautions (for blood borne pathogens), Pathogen types, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Handwashing and Hygiene, Hazardous Waste Disposal (non-specific), Preventing Needlestick Injuries. A detailed look at viruses, bacteria and fungi. Handling clients with infectious conditions and infestations. Transmission modes. Sterilisation processes in the workplace, including autoclaves.

A&P for collagen induction therapy. Veins, arteries and capillaries (phlebotomy overview). The integumentary system – structure and function. Microneedling – depths and penetration. The lymphatic system. The circulatory system. Skin as a defence barrier. Skin – functions and layers. Merkel cells, Langerhans Cells, Keratinocytes and Melanocytes. The epidermal-melanin unit. What does this course cover?
This is an online course for developing history leadership in primary teaching. This term, we will be piloting the course as an immersive programme covering the key elements of primary history subject leadership, enabling all involved in history leadership at primary to carry out their role effectively.
How is this course structured and delivered?
The course will take place in ten online sessions from January–May 2025. Sessions 1, 8 and 10 are compulsory to attend live. Participants will be required to complete a gap task after each session and contribute to an online reflection diary.
The other sessions will be recorded for participants to work through at their convenience, though participants are encouraged to attend the recording sessions live in order to make the most of the programme. All recordings will be made available on the course Moodle page within two working days of the live recording session.
Who is this course for? 
This programme is designed for anyone who is a subject coordinator or subject leader for history in their primary school. You may have just been appointed as a subject leader, or be more experienced but looking for formal training or fresh inspiration and direction.
What are the outcome?
