Meet The Founder
Gabriele Baldocci is a pianist, professor at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music in London, founder of the London Piano Centre, and founder of the Milton Keynes Music Academy. After taking his music degree at the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome and winning several international Piano Competitions, he began his career as a piano soloist and chamber musician in the world’s most important musical centres. He is known worldwide for his improvisations in different musical styles, his sight reading skills and piano performance with Martha Argerich, and he works as an official Ambassador of her Martha Argerich Presents Project. Gabriele selects every single piano faculty member of the Piano Centre in order to provide the best musical knowledge the school can offer.

Our piano courses in London are billed monthly, payable by card through our online secure platform. On our students portal, you can view your past invoices and payments online any time. No hidden fees or extras. Our piano centre offers piano lessons in person as well as online piano lessons. One to one piano lessons slots are either 30 or 60 minutes long (prices vary according to that) and every student is given the opportunity to perform in a public concert every year.

Is a Piano Instructor Really Necessary?
Yes, if you wish to reach an advanced level of piano playing, you will benefit immensely from a skilled piano teacher in London. Our piano teachers have performed across the world, studied with the world’s greatest pianists, and spent decades refining their craft. Furthermore, you will progress faster when you have to present your practice material to a teacher and learn to play on a weekly basis; nobody is checking in on you if you use an app to learn the piano, but if you attend a piano academy, you will feel a healthy amount of pressure.
Can I Expect Noticeable Progress Right Away?
Whether you are a beginner that wants to receive his first jazz piano lesson or an experienced instrumentalist that is looking for classical piano lessons, yes, you will start moving in the right direction in your first trial in our piano academy. If you have been working on intermediate or advanced repertoire already, our piano instructors will help you perfect that music and get it to a performance level starting in lesson one. If you are beginner, we’ll make sure you leave your piano class each week with a new concept or skill to practise at home. Of course, your improvement is contingent on your dedication to rehearsing at home – even if you take the most exceptional piano lessons, if you only learn to play the piano during your lessons with your piano teacher, you won’t improve.
Do I Need A Grand or Acoustic Piano At Home?
No, but you do need at least an 88 key digital keyboard that you can work with on your own. Preferably, if you do have a digital piano, the keys will be weighted. Nothing can match the sound and feel of a grand piano, but urban living doesn’t often allow for a large instrument, and modern digital pianos can be excellent instruments. If you are looking to take rock piano lessons or want to learn jazz piano, a digital piano might be good for you forever. However, if your goal is to play classical pieces, an acoustic piano will be necessary to unleash your full musical potential. Playing piano is a lifelong commitment and your instrument will become your most faithful companion, so we cannot recommend enough to choose it wisely. The team of piano instructors of our piano academy will be more than happy to facilitate the choice and guide you through various options and find the right fit for your individual needs.

On this lino printing taster workshop with Edinburgh artist Suzanne Kemplay, you will explore quick ways of creating simple images of flowers or patterns.
Suzanne will provide pre-made templates&nbsp;to speed up the design process, so that you can quickly&nbsp;move on to practice&nbsp;printing, and to learning the different techniques you can use to produce striking images.

Minimum number no refund policy
To ensure we can always pay our creatives a fair fee, we require a minimum number of bookings for each workshop and for this reason bookings are non-refundable. Should we have to cancel due to low numbers, we will offer you the option to swap to an alternative date or workshop, or to request a refund.
We do our very best to avoid cancellations. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible. We realise that some of you travel from afar, so if you book a space and have not yet received an email confirming your workshop is going ahead and need to make plans for your trip, please get in touch before booking any travel or accommodation so we can update you on booking numbers. How do I attend?

EITHER -
CLASSROOM OPTION - Attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Introduction to Phlebotomy Course over 2 days. You will also complete your Advanced Training at the end of the first day and your Competency Training at the end of the second day.

Our Introduction to Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy Training Kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available to add at time of booking. Our comprehensive training kits each mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video tutorials, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

OR -

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for a one day Zoom session to complete your Introduction to Phlebotomy virtual classroom training, followed by your Advanced Training in the evening of the same day. You have the option to add a classroom-based competency session, awarding a CPD Accredited Geopace Certificate of Competency, at time of booking.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your introductory course and one for your advanced course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 each) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses. The equipment and supplies included in your kits are the same as those used if you choose the classroom option.

Our Route to Competency Masterclass - Live Blood Sessions can only be completed in a classroom environment. This is included when you book a classroom option. When booking the virtual classroom option you can choose to add this at time of booking. You will receive a voucher code to enable you to book onto any upcoming dates or locations. For most of our two day course we run our competency training at the end of the second day and therefore you should be able to complete your full training programme with us over two days.

Each week on Zoom, you will meet with others who are dating and share the same desire to date in a healthy, informed way. Rachel will give a short talk, lead you in some reflective activities to improve your dating life, and answer your burning questions about dating. Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.

Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.
8 - Using lancets (heel collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for neonatal blood spot tests (Guthrie Test).

Using glass capillary tubes for micro-collection. Correct use and handling.

EXPORT PROCEDURES & DOCUMENTATION

Master plant tinctures are sacred, natural extracts derived from powerful Amazonian plants, each carrying unique healing properties. 

Used traditionally in shamanic practices, these tinctures provide a gentle, yet profound way to heal, release emotional blockages, and restore physical vitality. 

Instructions:
1. Dosage & Absorption
Empty Stomach for Optimal Absorption: Take your tincture on an empty stomach, ideally at least 30 minutes before eating or 2 hours after your last meal. This enhances absorption and allows the plant’s energy to work more directly.
Sublingual Method (Under the Tongue): Place the recommended number of drops directly under your tongue and hold them there for about 1-2 minutes before swallowing. This method allows the plant’s essence to enter your bloodstream more quickly and efficiently.
Swallowing & Following with Water: If needed, you can follow with a sip of water or herbal tea, but avoid strong flavours that might interfere with the plant’s subtle energy.
2. Dietary Considerations
Avoid heavy, overly processed, or highly stimulating foods (e.g., caffeine, sugar, alcohol, or spicy foods) before and after taking the tincture, as they may interfere with the plant’s effects.
Simple, grounding meals such as lightly cooked vegetables, whole grains, and herbal teas, support a clearer connection to the plant.
If fasting or eating lightly while working with the tincture, listen to your body’s signals and adjust as needed.
3. Setting an Intention
Focused Approach: Working with one plant tincture for 1-2 weeks with a clear intention allows for a deeper relationship with the plant’s wisdom. Reflect on what you’re calling in whether it’s emotional healing, clarity, protection, or insight.
Intuitive Use: While structured use can be powerful, you can also work with the tincture as needed, trusting your intuition to guide you. It is safe for daily use if you feel called to it.
Journaling & Reflection: Keeping a small journal can help you track any insights, shifts, or emotions that arise during your work with the plant.
4. Adapting the Experience to You
There’s no rigid rule - some people benefit from structured, intentional work, while others find a more fluid, intuitive approach works best.
Pay attention to how your body, emotions, and energy respond. If you feel resistance or discomfort, pause and reflect on what the plant might be showing you.
Trust your own process and know that the relationship with plant medicine is deeply personal.

Marosa teaches us to embrace love without fear, whether it be romantic, self-love, or universal love, helping us open to deeper relationships while maintaining healthy boundaries.

On an energetic level, she harmonises feminine energy, fostering grace, sensuality, and magnetic presence. She is often used to heal wounds from past relationships, dissolve patterns of unworthiness, and enhance our ability to both give and receive love. Marosa also connects us with our inner beauty, restoring confidence and self-worth. Physically, Marosa has purifying properties, supporting the skin, reproductive system, and circulation. She helps to bring lightness to the body, washing away stagnant energy and emotional burdens that weigh us down.

2. Chiric Sanango Flower - Brunfelsia grandiflora
A powerful Master Plant and member of the nightshade family. The name Chiric means "cold," as this plant is traditionally used to remove cold from the bones, warming the body and relieving tension. It is commonly worked with to treat fevers, alleviate arthritis pain, and enhance circulation, while also being known to increase libido by stimulating vitality and flow. 

On a deeper level, Chiric Sanango penetrates the nervous and muscular systems, aligning the body's core structure and releasing stored tension. LOOKING FOR: ADULT FICTION, NON-FICTION

Julie Gourinchas (she/they) is developing a selective list focused on upmarket and literary adult fiction across a wide variety of genres. Writers she represents have been nominated for the British Book Awards, the Hugo Awards, the BSFA Awards, and the Saltire National Book Awards, among others.

In fiction, she's drawn to a uncommon voices, and striking, intelligent writing – whether vibrant and floral or tense, quick, and sparse – as well as texture in both tone and setting (particularly anything with a strong aesthetic). Above all, she is looking for hooky, high-concept work, but her taste can perhaps be best summarised as "the weird, dark, and gruesome." 

While literary-speculative is her sweet spot, she considers herself genre agnostic within upmarket/literary fiction, and remains open to compelling and well-executed genre overlap. These include:

upmarket and literary horror: especially featuring feminist or cultural themes, body horror, mangled nature, or cosmic, Lovecraftian vibes and looking for a fresh, literary take on vampires. Think Mona Awad, Lucy Rose, Julia Armfield, Jade Song, Stephen Graham Jones.
dark and spiky literary dramas with high emotional stakes - think Eliza Clark, Julia May Jonas.
razor-sharp dark academia particularly with something to say about the complex and exploitative systems within academia, more The Secret History, less The Atlas Six.
gothic fiction, specifically regional gothic anchored in an evocative sense of place in the vein of Alexis Henderson and Alix E. Harrow.
grounded fantasy or otherwise speculative fiction with coherent, sharp worldbuilding that feels recognisable and familiar, or directly set in our world. Play with magic, faith, and technology in your story like Babel, or a more literary version like Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries, Blood Over Bright Haven, Metal From Heaven.
Searing contemporary fiction centred on themes of identity and belonging: think Sally Rooney, Torrey Peters, or what Saltburn should have been.

steampunk, solarpunk, silkpunk, clockpunk, dieselpunk, cyberpunk and more of these! Suffice to say: if you can successfully and smartly comp to Arcane, Julie wants to see it!
character-focused historical fiction with a literary edge: think Lauren Groff, Anthony Doerr, Eleanor Catton, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries; including and indeed encouraging alternate history.

Stylistically, Julie loves uncommon, thought-provoking experimentation with both prose and form, and anything spiky, toothy, and dark. Happy endings, to her, should feel earned. In all things, compelling character development should come first. First person narration is not impossible, but hard to sell. A smart genre blend is always welcome, as is any fresh-eyed approach to a well-trodden trope. Julie is also very much looking for her first romantasy – especially one that approaches this exciting new genre from a fresh, bold perspective.
 
She is keenly interested in hearing from authors traditionally underrepresented in the industry, including but not restricted to writers of colour; queer, trans, and nonbinary writers; working class writers; disabled writers; etc. 

Her enduring favourite books include All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, Do Not Say We Have Nothing by Madeleine Thien, The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton, and Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials series. More recent favourites include the masterful Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, Babel by R.F. Kuang, Detransition Baby by Torrey Peters, Matrix by Lauren Groff, Tell Me I’m Worthless by Alison Rumfitt, Brother Alive by Zain Khalid, and Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield.

In non-fiction, Julie is keen to read in the narrative and “big ideas” spaces, particularly in the realms of politics, history, and the social sciences.

Please note: Julie is not looking for young adult, middle grade, and children’s books. Strictly no AI-generated content of any description. Please also bear in mind that, despite a deep and abiding love for all things Tolkien and Star Wars, she is not typically the right fit for epic or high fantasy, nor space-faring science fiction. She would also prefer to avoid pulpy crime and straightforward romance/romcoms.
