We're a Forró dance group in Edinburgh. We hold regular Forró classes, socials, live music events and workshops with international teachers. Fridays 8PM Beginners Class, followed by open-level social @Boteco do Brasil Wednesdays 8PM Intermediate Class, followed by social @Boteco do Brasil Our community-led Forró group is crazy about dance, music and socialising! Forró is a beautiful Brazilian partner dance. The dance from the north-east of Brazil has become hugely popular across Europe due to its beautiful music and social spirit. We are a highly diverse and international group united by an interest in dance and Brazilian culture. As a group we organise regular classes, workshops and socials. We do this as a not-for-profit group and re-invest any gains from classes back into the group, e.g. in the form of workshops.

Hi I’m Janet, I’m the owner of Leith Yoga, which I opened at our first location on Leith Walk in October 2015. Since my yoga training in 2014 I’ve worked with hundreds of beginner and advanced students, sharing yoga practices and tools of self inquiry in group classes, workshops, yoga teacher trainings and 1-2-1 sessions. I talk a lot about connecting to ease in yoga practice and life, because I believe that our bodies are wise and beautiful and can guide our actions effortlessly and I want us to resist the culture of external expertise, struggle and perfectionism. I work with wise and socially conscious changemakers, who are committed to evolving personally so they can make a difference socially. In 2019 along wth a fellow Co-Active Coach we created Curious Conversations for managers to not become coaches at work, but instead to learn the skills of coaching to have Curious, Challenging, Courageous and Championing conversations at work. Currently working and living in Milan, Italy, Robert Marjoribanks’ work finds inspiration and a great attachment to space and identity, spirituality and pragmantism. New perspectives and varied visual information are combined to explore possible narratives which may be overlooked or ignored as opportunities to make art which often talks of the relationships we have with our own and others culture and living spaces. Trained as a printmaker at Gray’s School of Art he was increasingly interested in the physicality of the print process. This intrigue pushed and pulled him into a more sculptural way of working. Taking into consideration the appropriate materials to use he often works with cast or found objects placed into a relationship with printed media and the environment they are found in. After being awarded his bachelor’s degree he went on to become the workshop assistant at the Edinburgh Printmakers in his hometown. After a year working with an artist residency program helping to curate and working with artists in Shanghai he has lived and worked in Treviso and now Milan, Italy.
