Delta One Canines was established in 1999 when I retired from the Police Force.  Twenty one  of those thirty years was spent as a dog handler and dog training instructor. The aims of the business are the same now as they were then, to provide dog training and behaviourial advice to pet owners that is effective, acceptable and affordable. The business has grown over the last twenty five years and now includes two associate instructors.  Potential clients of the business can be assured by our membership of bona fide professional organisations. I have been a full member of British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers since the mid 1980s and an Honorary Life Member  of Canine Behaviour & Training Society (Formerly U.K. Registry of Canine Behaviourists) since 2010. My associate trainers are also  members of B.I.P.D.T.. On-going staff training has included courses in Canine First Aid and dog law. We deliver Responsible Dog Ownership Courses which were developed by ourselves at the request of and in association with  West Midlands Police. We pride ourselves on delivering a personal service to all clients. All our training lessons are delivered on a “One to one”  basis so that owner and dog can progress at their own pace without distractions.  Behaviourial consultations are delivered at the owners home. The consultations deal with matters such as aggression, separation anxiety, dominance and other subjects that are beyond the scope of a regular training lesson. Owners are given a behaviour modification program to address the cause of the dogs unwanted behaviour.

Upon her retirement in 2010, Carol Erdman, who had worked with inSITE for 15 years became President and CEO. In order to ensure significant learning occurs in two to six hour courses, we limit lectures to 15 minutes or less and call them lecturettes. The remainder of the class is for large and small group discussion, enriching case studies that are so true to life they arouse emotion, role plays that help participants understand how they naturally behave in certain situations, simulations and video vignettes that demonstrate typical work place issues and bring learning to life. We provide a number of inventories including MBTI and its Step 2, DiSC, Thomas Kilmann, Gregorc Style Delineator, and the Conflict Mode Instrument. The use of the World Café is a highly successful learning format that draws in high level professionals and managers. We ensure a great deal of practice of all new skills and tools so that participants can transfer learning readily upon return to their job. inSITE Training & Development, inc. has conducted all aspects of the ADDIE model for both the Federal government and private sector. Most often, we conduct a needs analysis as a prelude to designing and developing instruction as well. By being involved in the entire ADDIE process and often delivering the training ourselves, we have learned just how comprehensive the needs analysis must be. We offer the highest grade of musical education, from teaching staff who are not only talented musicians in their own right, but also trained to teach, regularly monitored and who undergo ongoing professional development training at Yamaha HQ. We provide each student with a one hour, group lesson on the instrument of choice, once per week for 44 weeks of the year, or provide students learning individually with a half hour lesson, once per week/fortnight for 44/22 weeks of the year. We ensure that all our staff have enhanced DBS (CRB) clearance. Certification is available to view outside our studios. We offer an optional, accredited examination syllabus, with examinations taking place on site 2/3 times per annum. We facilitate learning with state of the art instruments in clean, comfortable, designated studios. We encourage every student with merits for practice and Certificates and Prizes for collecting merits. We offer a clean, comfortable waiting room for students and parents alike. We offer eight weeks holiday every year and display a full school calendar on our website, as well as in school.
