Creating Family Friendly Museums – Afternoon Cuppa Session  Tuesday 25 March 2025, 2-3.30pm  Join us for an informal virtual briefing and discussion session, featuring exciting updates from Kids in Museums. We will be sharing information about the updated Kids in Museums Manifesto and the Family Friendly Museum Award 2025.   The Kids in Museums Manifesto is a set of simple guidelines for museums, heritage sites and cultural organisations, which we update every two years. Between October and December 2024, we consulted hundreds of children, young people and families about what makes a heritage site a great place to visit. In this session, we will reveal the new version of the Manifesto, along with low and no cost changes you could make to enhance your museum’s family provision.   You will also hear more about the Kids in Museums Family Friendly Museum Award, which recognises the venues that are most welcoming, fun, and accessible for families.   In this session, you will:  find out about the updated version of the Kids in Museums Manifesto gain an insight into what children, young people and families think about museums, heritage sites and cultural organisations hear a range of practical ideas to inspire your family friendly provision gain inspiration from a case study from the winner of the Best Small Museum at the Family Friendly Museum Award 2024 – National Civil War Centre, Newark. They will talk about their work with families and how their success in the 2024 Family Friendly Museum Award has impacted the museum. informally share more about your current family offer and how you can put ideas from the session into practice. Become a META-Health professional with our 6 months intensive training! Do you want to learn the scientific background of body-mind-interactions and how to integrate this knowledge in your practical work with your clients? This course contains both self-study and live training in online classes and covers the META-Health Level 1 and 2 material. It will take 6 months including 24 live sessions, 2 hours each, mainly in a weekly rhythm. You will get preparatory videos, reading material and tasks that help to understand and integrate the content, while the group sessions focus on demonstrations, discusion of the material, and practical exercises for you. Existential Psychotherapist Group Leader, Counsellour, Lecturer and Supervisor, MBACP & UKCP accredited, SEA Professional Member, Director of Therapy Harley StreetBárbara’s academic contributions in London since 2008 include lecturing and researching on the theory and practice of Phenomenological Existential Therapy on Doctorate, MA and professional courses at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology, Regent’s University and the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling directed by Emmy van Deurzen. Bárbara has facilitated and designed therapeutic Group Work since 1997. She brought her earliest workshop: “Experiences” to large groups in The Netherlands, Italy, France, UK and Argentina. These awareness-intensive processes are a legacy of the human potential movement (HPM) of the 1960s, with techniques such as AUM Meditation Marathons, Psychodrama, Bioenergetics and Primal Feelings work.

In January 2024 alone, reports were published about the SRA taking enforcement action against 3 firms and 4 individuals for failure to comply with the Money Laundering Regulations 2017. The fines issued for these non-compliances total over £570,000 plus costs. The absence of staff training, or requirement to complete additional training, was noted in a number of these cases. As a manager of a law firm, or more crucially an MLRO or MLCO, the ultimate responsibility for the firm's compliance, including with the MLR 2017, lies with you. It is your responsibility to ensure that the firm puts in place, reviews and updates compliant policies, controls and procedures. You must ensure that the firm maintains an up to date practice wide risk assessment. You are required to ensure that your employees are regularly given training on the MLR 2017 and associated risks. If a breach occurs, the SRA will take a wider look at the firm and identify any supervisory deficiencies that may have contributed to failures by fee earners or support staff. It has proven that it will not shy away from holding to account managers, compliance officers and MLRO/MLCOs for failures by their firms to comply with requirements of the MLR 2017. This course will cover the following to assist firms MLROs, MLCOs and Management with fulfilling their AML management responsibilities: How to comply with your obligations and stay compliant FWRA – linked with PCPs Mandatory AML Policies and Procedures - SRA have concerns Training and supervising staff Audits SRA requirements Reporting SARS POCA/TA Fulfilling reporting officer and compliance officer duties Target Audience The online course is suitable for MLROs, MLCOs, firm management and those supporting these roles. Resources Comprehensive and up to date course notes will be provided to all delegates which may be useful for ongoing reference or cascade training. Speaker Helen Torresi, Consultant, DG Legal Helen is a qualified solicitor with a diverse professional background spanning leadership roles in both the legal and tech/corporate sectors. Throughout her career, she has held key positions such as COLP, HOLP, MLCO, MLRO and DPO for law firms and various regulated businesses and services. Helen’s specialised areas encompass AML, complaint and firm negligence handling, DPA compliance, file review and auditing, law management, and operational effectiveness in law firms, particularly in conveyancing (CQS).
