two little lights
Swinton
I’m the eldest of three girls, and as we were growing up, our mum made wedding
dresses, upholstered furniture and created most of our clothes on her sewing
machine. So I think it was inevitable that one of us would grow up with a
creative streak. I’ve always enjoyed making things, not all of my ventures have
been successful, but since moving into our current house and being somewhat
uninspired by the range of beige lampshades on offer on the high street, I
decided to learn how to make my own. Since that day I’ve become addicted. I feel
lucky to have found a way to combine my love of beautiful fabrics with interiors
– and spread the lampshade love to homes across Yorkshire and beyond. It’s
something I take great pride in. I’m passionate about helping clients find that
perfect fabric to match their new scheme and make them something unique –
something they couldn’t find on the High Street. I also love teaching people how
to make their own, on my lampshade making workshops – the smile as their
lampshade starts to take shape is priceless. So thank you for taking the time to
find out a bit more about me, and if I can help you with anything or if you need
advice on a new lampshade idea, then please just ask!
