Safety Forward was founded in 2014 by the director Marisa Firkins following 22
years with the National Crime Agency. Marisa saw an opportunity to create a
forward thinking, innovative business that focused on a tailored service to meet
the needs of the modern business. During the business development stages, Marisa
saw that many organisations were signing up to the main health and safety
providers only to find themselves locked in to lengthy contracts with only a
generic suite of documents provided. This approach provides no value to business
and only serves to be a tickbox exercise.
