About this Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)  Accredited by the United Kingdom Lubricants Association (UKLA), this 4 half-day Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) course will provide an in-depth understanding of the principles, economics and flexibility of lubricant blending plants and how to operate a lubricants blending plant efficiently and economically. The latest developments and trends in lubricant blending and the advantages and disadvantages of lubricant blending equipment, facilities and operations will be discussed. The importance of testing components and products for each blend, lubricant blend quality control and product quality management will also be explained. The VILT course will also clarify the importance of lubricant product filling, packaging and warehouse storage, strategies for optimising existing lubricant blending plant facilities and how to avoid or minimise problems with lubricant blending and product quality. Course Level Intermediate Training Methods The VILT course will be delivered online in 4 half-day sessions comprising 4 hours per day, with 2 breaks of 10 minutes per day. Course Duration: 4 half-day sessions, 4 hours per session (16 hours in total). Trainer Your expert course leader (CChem, MRC) has worked as Sales, Technical Marketing Manager and Company Director with over 50 years of broad experience in the lubricants, fuels, petroleum additives, with four leading companies Chevron, Ethyl Petroleum Additives Ltd, Texaco Limited and Kuwait Petroleum (GB) Ltd. His major recent responsibilities have been concerned with leading the Oil Industry Association United Kingdom Lubricants Association, and acting in an advisory capacity as Technical Director to the Association. He has acquired a wide experience in technical, marketing and sales within the oil industry. The related experience gained with the oil additives industry has provided him with special additional insights. He has also led the Certificate of Lubricant Competence course for the United Kingdom Lubricants Association (UKLA) for 11 years. He is a Chartered Chemist and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints. Assess an incident. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries. Be able to conduct a secondary survey. Who should attend? This qualification is for people who deal with first aid at work. Enabling them to be workplace first aiders under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This qualification is also for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities. This will allow them to provide basic first aid to people in a range of situations. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training. Students must be in possession of an in date First Aid at Work Certificate. Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and includes two theory/multiple choice question papers. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for three years. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training. The qualification is an International recognised work-based qualification. Once qualified, it will demonstrate to employers that you are skilled and able to perform well in your role at work. This is where you will be able to demonstrate your ability at work and complete a list of job knowledge questions regarding the units in your qualification. It is the candidate’s responsibility to engage with the Assessor and gather the evidence that will match the assessment criteria in your NVQ.   How can the candidate gather the onsite/work evidence and job knowledge questions? Risk Assessment Method Statement Drawings Materials Measuring, Cutting, Positioning, and securing in place what you are installing.   Methods of ways of gathering evidence - Videos – this will be the candidate setting up their video and then demonstrating their skills and ability on site and then upload to the candidate’s portfolio. On site assessment - where your assessor will come out to you and observe you demonstrating your skills. This will depend on the site location and assessors’ location. If the site location is too far for the assessment to take place, it will be solely video evidence. Your Assessor will instruct you on how to complete your videos. Witness testimony - your Assessor will hold a recorded discussion with your manager/supervisor to confirm where, when and how you have completed the work to the specifications. Photos – They can be used as part of an assessment. They will not be accepted if the candidate isn’t in the photo. Photos cannot be used to build up a portfolio but can be used as part of the videos showing the full completed job and also in the Assessors on site assessment observation report.   Job Knowledge Questions account for 65% of the NVQ qualification. These can be saved to your computer and typed as this will be the quickest and easiest route or you can print them out and hand write them. They are very important, and they are written to see if you have the knowledge behind what you are doing on site or at work. You will receive an email from the online platform with your username (your email address) and password. Arrange with your Assessor to complete your Induction. Complete your knowledge questions. Arrange with your Assessor your site assessment. Assessor will contact your Manager/Supervisor for a testimony. Recorded Professional Discussion with you to confirm your ability and authenticate your portfolio. Cost – Level 2 - £750 + Vat. If you would like to add an additional pathway, they would be £300 each added pathway. Level 3 - £950 + Vat. If you would like to add an additional pathway, they would be £300 each added pathway. Time Scale of the NVQ? The NVQ is candidate led. This will depend on how committed the candidate is and how much work the candidate has lined up. Your Assessor cannot complete you without the evidence. For a level 2, we aim to have the candidate completed in 4 – 8 weeks, Level 3 from 4 – 12/16 weeks
