Overview Account Management is an important role within any organisation. Account Managers are responsible for nurturing customer relationships and increasing sales with their organisation’s key customers. The Account Manager will usually act as a first point of contact for clients; responding to complaints, purchases, project requests and any general queries. Their approach should help maintain client relationships in order to ensure that they continue to use the company for business. This one day course can help them learn the key skills they need. Description Build a strong account management team that are able to effectively manage customer relationships and drive sales The role of account manager is both important and demanding. The account manager acts as the ‘face’ of the business and should professionally represent the business by creating a strategy for success and delivering a high level of customer service. Account managers need to be effective communicators, needing to both engage with the client and also develop internal relationships to ensure promises are delivered upon. Another key responsibility of the account manager is to identify business opportunities and help drive business results for their company. Account Management can be a very challenging role depending on the number of clients, the range of industries the clients represent, and the nature and attitude of the client. The main focus of the role is to provide continual client service to clients, this may include quarterly or annual business reviews, additions to the account in terms of extra services supplied plus face-to-face and online meetings, on a regular basis. The Account Manager will also be responsible for delivering high levels of client service to ensure that clients do not leave and will need to create a strategy around this. This strategy will depend on the type of client in terms of size of the business commitment, Key Performance Indicators plus contractual agreements which may dictate the framework for the relationship. Building a personal relationship as well as a business one is key to becoming an effective Account Manager. After all, “It is easier to fire a business associate or employee than it is to fire a friend”. Why should people attend this training course? Well, just imagine if your employees were better able to: Build effective business relationships with clients and help drive sales performance. Add value to clients and help ensure their requirements are met or exceeded. Measure the performance of their key accounts and adapt their approach accordingly. Understand the key attributes required for success and work on developing them. Set a strategy for sales success and create action plans for pre-defined goals. Monitor and measure their own performance and set their own targets. Ultimately, this training course will help employees to focus on what is required to succeed in the role of account manager, building a strategy with clear actions and helping the organisation to business success. Who is this course for? This Account Management training course is for anyone that works in an account management role or relevant sales function and will assist the participants in improving their working practices, developing customer relationships and in turn increasing business performance and sales success. Requirements for Attendance Prior sales experience is recommended, but an awareness of the sales process as a minimum will suffice.

About this Training Course A few decades ago, the purchasing function in an Oil & Gas company was seen only as a procurement function in charge of supplying goods and services defined by the end user. Over the years, the purchasing function has won its letters of nobility and has proven to be a powerful leverage of savings and cost reduction. In the upstream Oil & Gas sector, where production sites are spread everywhere and sometimes in very isolated areas, purchasing & procurement performs an important mission to secure the supply of high-tech equipment which will travel all over the world before being installed offshore or in remote areas. These two objectives, cost saving and securing of supply, make the purchasing & procurement a strategic function and an essential segment of the supply chain as it drives the other steps in the chain. Training Objectives By the end of the course, the participants will feel confident in their understanding of: The supply chain functions in the upstream Oil & Gas industry and its objectives. The purchasing process from the identification of a need to its satisfaction within the specifications, planning and budget. The strategic tools of the buyer: The category management and market analysis, the definition of the frame agreement and contracts. The creation of value for their organization by using the leverages of the purchasing process from the selection of supplier, the cost analysis and the negotiation. Target Audience This course is primarily designed for purchasers or head of purchasing/procurement. It is also necessary for other stake holders in the supply chain, including expediters, stock controllers and cost controllers. This course is also recommended for the participants in the logistics function who want to enlarge their knowledge domain of the supply chain. Finally, the supply chain administrators from the technical departments may also find this course necessary in order to facilitate their interaction with the purchasing department. Course Level Basic or Foundation Trainer Your expert course leader has 25 years of experience in management positions in Contracting, Procurement and Logistics, mainly in the Oil & Gas Industry. He was a Lecturer for IFP Training for 5 years. During his Oil & Gas industry experience, he has worked on major Oil and Gas development projects like the Yadana project in Myanmar, Akpo project in Nigeria and YLNG in Yemen. His international experience allows him to adapt very easily and integrate the multicultural specificities of the Oil & Gas industry in his teaching. POST TRAINING COACHING SUPPORT (OPTIONAL) To further optimise your learning experience from our courses, we also offer individualized 'One to One' coaching support for 2 hours post training. We can help improve your competence in your chosen area of interest, based on your learning needs and available hours. About this Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) Governments, regulators and energy companies are pursuing CO2 storage technologies to meet their net-zero carbon commitments as well as targets set by the international Paris Agreement on climate change. For successfully executing Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) projects, various technical, operational, economic and environmental risks and associated stakeholders need to be managed. In this 5 half-day Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) course, the methods for managing risk in CCS projects are addressed with a focus on CO2 injection and storage. The VILT course will also demonstrate how to assess storage capacity of a potential CO2 storage reservoir, model framing techniques, and well injectivity issues related to CO2 injection. The potential leak paths will be discussed such as reservoir seals, leakage along faults and aspects of well integrity. In the VILT course, the design of a monitoring programme will also be discussed. The VILT course will be supported by various case studies. This VILT course will cover the following modules: CCS projects in an international context Site selection and site characterization Storage capacity assessment Injectivity assessment Containment assessment Measurement, monitoring & verification Training Objectives On completion of this VILT course, participants will be able to: Uncover the functions and associated components required to capture, transport and store CO2 in subsurface aquifers and (depleted) hydrocarbon reservoirs Find a systematic and integrated approach to risk identification and assessment for CO2 storage projects (maturation) Appreciate the requirements (physics modelling) and uncertainties to assess the CO2 storage capacity of a selected site. Understand the challenges, data and methods to assess CO2 well injectivity and well integrity Identify the leakage pathways of a selected storage site, and understand the assessment methods and associated uncertainties Learn how to design a monitoring program Target Audience This VILT course is intended for all surface and subsurface engineers such as facility engineers, geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers, petrophysicists, production technologists/engineers, well engineers and geomechanical specialists. Also, (sub)surface team leads, project managers, business opportunity managers, decision executives, and technical risk assessment & assurance specialists will benefit from this VILT course as it provides a common framework and workflow to develop a CCS project. For each class, it is highly recommended that a mix of disciplines mentioned above are represented to facilitate discussions from different perspectives. Course Level Basic or Foundation Training Methods This VILT course is built around cases in which teams work to identify and assess CO2 storage site issues using a systematic thought approach in this course. In addition, exercises are used to practise the aspects of the CCS risk assessment process. The VILT course provides a venue for discussion and sharing of good practices as well as opportunities to practise multi-discipline co-operation and facilitation. Participants are encouraged to bring their own work issues and challenges and seek advice from the expert course leaders and other participants about all aspects of CCS. This VILT course will be delivered online in 5 half-day sessions comprising 4 hours per day, with 2 breaks of 10 minutes per day.
