I love being hands on creative, cutting, sticking, chopping, painting,
splattering but also being quite techie and having trained in pattern cutting
and tailoring somehow marries perfectly with knit/crochet design and pattern
writing. I have worked in house at Rowan yarns for almost 20 years being the
Senior Designer, technical manager and also styling and art directing the
majority of photo shoots it is a varied and rewarding job. I have also pursued
an independent side with tutoring at residential workshops in Tuscany and more
locally plus selling my wares at yarn events such as Yarndale. For an anxious
hermit these can be a bit of a worry but the reward of meeting all the crafters
and other designer makers is always worth it!
