Evolution Jujutsu is a training program that is designed for practical personal protection in ‘real life’ situations. Our aim is to develop confidence, co-ordination and the skills necessary to avoid or manage conflict. With our training you can learn how to confidently defend yourself in as little time as three months. Members train with people in their own age group so they can learn appropriate techniques and have fun. Evolution Jujutsu runs 5-7 years, 8-11 years, 12-17 years and adults classes throughout the week. Please check our timetable for more information on class times. We believe that you should have fun while you are learning, and that goes double for our younger students. Healthy Human was first established in 2018.  At the time both Nicky and Alison were in practice and looking for a partner to help them create a 360 method to supporting clients back to better health and happiness. In 2019 they found each other and 'Healthy Human 360' was born.  As lockdown hit Nicky and Alison decided to move their programmes online so that anyone could access them, despite the current restrictions.  This move turned out to beneficial in even more ways, for example for those who didn't live in the region where Alison and Nicky practice, for clients with busy lives who needed to fit a programme in around their schedule.  An online and on demand course was giving clients total flexibility to go at a pace to suit them and their lives.  They enjoyed that they could repeat or dip back into lessons as often as they liked; and for some the icing on the cake was they didn't have to expose themselves to a gym or weight watching club, which can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming or scary.  You're in good hands   Nicky and Alison's evidence based health programmes are crafted from years of experience and specialist knowledge.  The 360 method ensures a higher success rate; with easy to follow and progressive steps, clients are able to move from being stuck and unhappy to a better place of health, in better shape, and with a whole new mindset.   Both partners also continue practices in their respective areas of specialism.  For a bit more of an insight into your therapists, Alison and Nicky, read on... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ALISON BRAITHWAITE MSC, CIPD Alison has been working in the wellbeing sector for nearly 20 years and is a qualified holistic therapist and life coach, with a deep understanding of mental health having worked in that sector of the NHS since 2007.  During her time with the NHS Alison has provided coaching and mentorship for numerous NHS staff within the Yorkshire and Humber region, as part of a volunteer scheme run by the NHS Leadership Academy. I started lovesailing.net over 8 years ago while studying my RYA Day Skipper theory course and was struggling to find websites where I could test what I'd learnt. After several months of looking I decided to write the website myself, if I was wanting a site like this, then maybe other people as well. As far as I know, and please correct me if I'm wrong, We Love Sailing’s testing feature that allows users to answer random questions across different theory categories, and record their score, is one of a kind on the world wide web. And one that I hope is helping other sailors, new and old, improve their sailing knowledge. It certainly helped me to pass my course, and while I was the only person to use the site in the first year, I stuck with it and now it's used daily by sailors all over the world. This is only the beginning though, there are lots more plans for We Love Sailing, for a start I've added a "We" to the name of the site, I want the site to become a hub to bring people together from all walks of live who love sailing, a community where the can celebrate our sport / hobby, and where those curious about sailing can learn more. The dream is on. So onto my own personal sailing story, I best start by saying that I am in no way an experienced sailor, in fact I would quite easily class myself as a novice sailor. I've not actually sailed that much, at the time of writing this, 18th April 2018, I've only ever sailed on a yacht 3 times, and in a dinghy about 10 times. This is only the beginning though, there are lots more plans for love sailing and I'm starting to get excited about the possibilities, the dream is on.
