wanting to learn how to create shoes entirely by hand led me to pestering the local clog maker to take me on as his Saturday girl, after a couple of years I got a place at cordwainers college, then part of central and st martins. when I finished my degree, I went straight into an apprenticeship in the west end of london. I was very lucky as apprenticeships were and still are, very few and far between. for 12 years, I worked exclusively for boot and shoe companies, including john lobb, cleverly and jason amesbury, in the west end and mayfair. a chance conversation led to a residency at the royal armories in leeds where I spent two years working with the in-house leather worker to produce 30 pairs of jack boots for the household cavalry. while I was there I began to think about producing a collection of leather goods under my own name. I was encouraged when my first show sold out completely. I have worked hard to build on that success becoming more creative with styling and inventive with detail as the collection has grown. I am currently working on a series of collaborations with an intriguing range of clients: flame oz are an international troupe of fire performers who are looking at ways of incorporating fire resistant leather into their incredible theatre shows. drawn surface have worked on set designs in film and television and are currently producing a range of leather and hand printed canvas homewares with me. I am working with milliner Good Golly Miss Molly to create a range of stunning gents headwear for various celebrities. new projects on the horizon include a range of luxurious aprons and gentlemen's grooming products, and more recently, I have been commissioned to produce body-worn amp covers for a local music project.

I attended my first yoga class with my mum when I was 15 years old; that was the start of my yoga journey. My love of yoga grew over the years and led me to a teacher training course in 2011 with Brenda Louw at Chillout Yoga in Scotland. (Now https://www.brendalouw.co.uk ) Immersing myself in yoga and extending my knowledge with the help of Brenda just re-affirmed the facts – yoga works and I love it! I am a member of the IYN (Independent Yoga Network) and you can find me on their list of accredited teachers https://www.independentyoganetwork.org/teachers I starting teaching classes around the Brighouse area and over the years I have met some truly inspiring people from these classes and made some great friends. At the end of December 2015 I gave up my full time job and took the plunge, making yoga my full time occupation.

Her inspiration comes from many sources as she creates and teaches glass artI first learned the techniques of stained glass in 2008 and I have been hooked ever since! I decided to expand my repertoire and this led me to learn the art of kiln formed glass, or glass fusing. I love the way light shines through coloured glass and the amazing unique pieces that can be created. My inspiration comes from many sources and I am always learning new techniques. In January 2014 I started teaching stained glass from my workshop at home. There is a lot of satisfaction to be gained from helping someone create a beautiful piece of glass art. The African Caribbean Achievement Project (ACAP) was set up in 1995 to promote and raise the educational development of people of African & Caribbean descent. We are an education-based charity that has fought for racial justice and equality in education since we started and continue to do so to this day. We are a volunteer-led service and provide mentoring, advocacy and educational support to young people. We also provide advocacy and support services to parents as well as a range of other activities Over the years the service has developed to include young people from all sections of the community and not just African and Caribbean young people. Baby Swimmers was founded in Yorkshire in 2004 by Tracy Margo after attending similar classes with her first baby. She found them so beneficial and enjoyable that she was inspired to set up her own classes to teach little ones water safety skills, and their parents the enjoyment of bonding with their baby in the water. From just one small class, today we teach over 500 children every week across North & West Yorkshire through our team of incredibly talented and passionate swim teachers.
