<p>Focused listening is a way of listening that involves a clear intention and ability to concentrate on the speaker's words in order to discern what is being communicated on multiple levels. By focused listening you will hear what <i>is, </i>and <i>is not</i> being said and can pick up on subtleties that are often missed with more superficial, hurried listening. By taking the time to truly listen to what the speaker has to say, the other person is likely to feel respected and heard. Real and focused listening leads to greater trust on the part of listener and the potential for a stronger overall relationship.</p>

Course Content

Course Overview
The Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Stonemasonry (Construction) qualification has seven specialisms/pathways of which Laying Kerbs and Channels is one of them.

The Awards Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Roadbuilding and Maintenance (Construction) -Laying Kerbs and Channels pathway has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means the learner needs to be employed to undertake this pathway.

This pathway enables the learner to demonstrate and recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate their competence in a real workplace environment so the learner can work in the Roadbuilding sector within the construction industry.

The learner will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area (Recommended Qualification Structure for Road Building and Maintenance (Construction) Level 2).

The learner will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with the learner and help the learner complete the pathway.

This pathway supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge.

The learner will learn key practical skills and knowledge in these mandatory units:

-Laying preformed kerbs and channels in the workplace

This is how it looks:
Delegates booked on Classroom and In-House courses will continue to have access to their trainer online throughout the days that the course is booked to run.

This Renewables Technical Surveying training short two day course is specifically designed for individuals and companies that want to train themselves and their staff on exactly how to carry out Renewables Technical Site Surveying prior to any renewables installation measures, this includes for heating systems, solar systems and EV Charge point installations. 
The course is primarily aimed at Energy Suppliers, Equipment Manufacturers, Renewable Installers, Domestic Energy Assessors, Retrofit Assessors, Retrofit Co-ordinators, Renewables sales staff and suitable individuals with a basic level of knowledge in varying building structures, heating systems and varying renewable technologies.
