young parent talks
London
Che, founder of Young Parent Talks, is a young mum from Birmingham who has been
sharing her story in schools, colleges and youth clubs for almost 4 years. After
her life was disrupted by teenage pregnancy and an intense abusive relationship,
Che was left with very little ambition and aim in life. She ended up having a
baby at 19 thinking this would be 'the easy option'. She had a reality check
when she realised it wasn't as easy as she'd thought and really struggled to
step up to the responsibility of having a child. After working hard to get her
life together whilst also raising her child, she started working for charity,
Straight Talking. This is where Che found her passion, teaching young people the
realities of being a young parent. In 2022, Che set up 'Young Parent Talks',
delivering sessions and assembly's in school's, teaching pupils what it really
means to become a teenage parent and how it changes your life, by sharing her
story. For information on how you can have Che come into your school, please

Pregnancy Workshop', the learning objectives and how it links with the National
Curriculum.
