A one day programme of study designed for Doctors, Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals working in a variety of care settings, whose role may include supporting and advising patients in the later stages of dementia.

To enable learners to develop their knowledge and skills in relation to manual handling activities

This two day programme is designed to support participants to work through the technical steps and stages as well as the more practical realities of project management.

A comprehensive two days, delivered using a variety of teaching styles, by professionals who manage medical emergencies on a day-to-day basis. A number of the more common presenting conditions are covered providing a structured approach to the pathophysiology, initial assessment and management of the acutely ill medical patient.

Aimed for GP reception staff and HCAs, who work face to face booking patients in or HCAs doing the initial triage/observations. Receptionists and HCAs working in the urgent care setting or walk in centres may also find this beneficial as they also book patients in and monitor the waiting room.

A series of hourly small group sessions where we look at different aspects of Excel Duration: 1 hr sessions Alternatively, we can do you one-to-one sessions, either via virtual classroom or in person at our training course. These are £30 per hour, or £125 for 5-hour blocks.

This qualification is aimed at those working in an environment where an AED is available.

A relaxed and informal Blackwork Embroidery course in the lovely setting of a converted 18th Century cotton mill in Warwick Bridge, Carlisle. This course has been designed to guide the complete beginner or act as a refresher for those who may have dabbled in Blackwork embroidery in the past. We will cover the history, styles of Blackwork embroidery, threads and techniques.

Gel Polish treatments are an increasingly popular treatment within the professional beauty industry. Gel Polish is applied to the client’s nail and then cured using an LED or UV lamp to create a longer lasting nail treatment (up to 3 weeks) than a standard manicure. Not only does this treatment keep clients happy due to its long-lasting effects, clients will need to return to the salon to have the gel polish removed, guaranteeing you repeat bookings. On completion of the course you will receive a certificate and a recognised, insurable qualification. All tools/products required for the course will be provided on the day. No take home kit included on this course.  Includes: Hard copy take home training manual. Duration – Fast track half day practical classroom-based training plus online theory work. Theory work to be completed in your own time via The Guild student portal before your practical course date. Practical day – 3pm – 6pm. It is advisable that students arrive 15 mins early to ensure a prompt start. Qualification - GTi award.
