Nicki and Lisa met in 2009 – on an advanced communication skills course! Lisa was a delegate and Nicki was training to be a facilitator. Lisa subsequently also went through training (she says it’s the most rigorous training she has ever done) . Their working partnership developed over the subsequent years, and they began facilitating courses together regularly in about 2012. They have worked together across England and Wales, and in Ireland. Nicki has had the opportunity to travel to both New Zealand and Singapore to deliver communication skills training. Lisa is not at all jealous… It is very clear to them that the need for communication skills training amongst healthcare professionals is huge, with doctors, nurses and AHPs being asked to have the most difficult conversations with patients and their families without the skills that could make those conversations go as well as possible. The evidence that communication skills can be learned is clear, but staff are not being offered the opportunity to optimise their skills. This feels unfair. In order to continue to be able to deliver training and to develop new facilitators, Nicki and Lisa created Reach in 2018. Both were still in full time NHS employment at the time, but have since retired from clinical work to concentrate on training. They both love what they do

We are a UK Film & TV Agency specialising in “on the move” filming. This ranges from a routes library of film-friendly driving routes, consultancy services, training and a talent agency service. For each route through our library, we offer 4K dash cam footage (front & rear footage in day and night views), a digital map and supporting documents for the locations team on the day. We are innovating the way in which we scout for “on the move” locations. We hope to also increase the training offered & level of knowledge in this area among film crew Oliver Laurenson-Gore – Location Manager & Scout set up Location Routes in early 2022 after his experience of working on PIRATES (BFI/BBC Films) back in 2019 & 2020. This roadtrip from North to Central London involving a car being the central aspect of the film. made him understand the challenges of “filming on the move”. He often found from his own experience that it was challenging to show Directors and other creatives involved suitable roads without recording the route. There was also a number of times in his career that he had to change the route last minute which has caused additional stress and wasted shooting time. Why offer this service and is it needed? Think of how many Film & TV shows that have any form of vehicles driving or stunt scenes on roads…it’s most shows! Roads are getting more difficult to find with more lane reduction programmes and cycle lanes in cities and towns across the UK. Location Managers are being asked to find more locations than ever before in tighter turnaround times. Location Routes is here to help

Born and raised in Birmingham, Tom has always been obsessed with making things. This obsession continued right through school and on to London where he studied furniture making. It was whilst in London his unusual style prompted his teacher to suggest he study sculpture. Taking his teachers advice after completing the year, he moved back to Birmingham and began his sculpture degree in Wolverhampton commuting daily before opting to move to West Wales School of Art - where they teach the fascinating process of bronze casting - to complete his degree. After completing his degree, Tom once again moved back to Birmingham where he continued his sculpture practise alongside working with family to further refine the carpentry and woodworking skills he learnt in London before setting up by himself a few years ago. The relatively recent decision to start offering courses came about almost by chance. The positive experience Tom had in West Wales ignited a desire to want to teach his skills to others – something that became even more apparent after taking on a couple of apprentices. However, with business being so busy it wasn’t until the apprentices highlighted the lack of woodworking courses available in the Birmingham area outside of full-time college or university courses. It was at this point Tom realised that this would be a great opportunity to give those interested in woodworking a way in without having to commit full time.

OUR BACKGROUND The story of Nova began in 2002. At that time, the founder of Nova, started his first humble furniture retail outlet of 3,000 square feet, Crawford Italia Pte Ltd, in Crawford Centre. A team of 4 staff worked for hand in hand to manage Crawford Italia which focuses on living room concept furniture retail. After a year of operations, the excellent sales performance of Crawford Italia motivated the team to consider taking on a bigger outlet to enable the business to grow. The success of the pioneer team with their accumulated experience in furniture retail & operations, in-depth understanding of the local furniture market and their entrepreneurial spirit to make things happen, propelled the team to take on a bold decision to take up a 20,000 square feet outlet in A-Z Building in Paya Lebar in 2003. That was the birth of Nova. Since then we never looked back; and by 2006, another 20,000 square feet outlet was taken up. This time round to cater to people in the West part of Singapore, in Tradehub 21 in Boon Lay Way. Following that, a 3rd outlet was opened in May 2008, in Sungei Kadut, north-west of Singapore. Our next new export outlet of 30,000 square feet in Ang Mo Kio, targeted for operations in Aug 08, will be serving residents in the North. Besides Singapore, plans are also in the pipeline to start our retail operations in Malaysia in end of 2008.
