Resistance training has long been a method used to increase athletic capacity in terms of endurance, muscle mass and strength (McGuigan, M., R., 2012). Additionally, there are techniques that are appropriate in developing power in advanced clients and have been shown to be superior to more traditional resistance training techniques (Suchomel, 2017).
