I passed my driving test at 17. A first time pass. I loved the freedom, independence and exhilaration of driving. To become a DOE approved driving instructor in Belfast you need to have held a clean driving licence for 4 years and pass three D.O.E. approved tests; a theory, a practical driving test and a teaching test. Exactly four years after I passed my driving test I applied to do these tests and passed all three first time. When I set up my driving school I wanted the learners’ journey from raw beginner to successfully passing their driving test to be as easy an experience as possible, so I called my driving school Easydrive. What do you like about your line of work? I enjoy being a driving instructor because you are out and about meeting interesting people everyday. I have taught thousands of people over the last 25 years. Interestingly, people I taught from when I first started are recommending me to their sons and daughters, it’s very gratifying to think that generations of local people appreciate that I did a good job of teaching themto drive safely. It definitely creates great job satisfaction. How many hours a week do you work and what’s your busiest time of the year? I work the normal working week of 35 hours. Busiest time would be from spring to autumn. What makes a customer a satisfied customer? I teach in an easy step-by-step approach building one skill upon another. A satisfied customer is one who can see their improvement with each lesson, giving them confidence of a successful test result. What is the best piece of business advice you were ever given? Success happens when preparation meets opportunity. With Easydrive I make sure all my learners are 100 per cent prepared to face the challenges of the modern driving test, which is more demanding than tests set in previous years. This gives them their best opportunity of success.

The McKillen School of Dance was established in 2017, aiming to be the most trusted provider in delivering dance, drama and singing education. Creating a safe and nurturing environment for both children who want to dance as a hobby and those who want a career from it. TMSOD believes that when we stop learning, we stop growing. This is why we dedicate a minimum of 15 hours a year to staff development and education. This ensures our teachers are equiped with the best knowledge and facilities possible to teach our pupils at the highest standard possible. I have loved dance all of my life, competing and sitting exams. As a dancer, I have had many experiences - to name a few; MOVEIT Main Stage, MOVEIT class assistant, Got to Dance auditions,, Scottish Ballet assistant with Hansel and Gretel performance Belfast 2017, Dance World Cup Dancer. As a teacher - I am currently I am fully qualified with the Royal Academy of Dance, ISTD Contemporary, Acrobatic Arts, DDMIX, iDance Contemporary, Progressing Ballet Technique and the Associated Board of Dance. While teaching full time I am also studying for another two teaching qualifications to add to the studio. In the first year of opening the school, my dancers auditioned with my choreography and where on Team Northern Ireland 2018 for the Dance World Cup. Currently I have pupils in associate and training programmes in both Scotland and Northern Ireland.

OUR HISTORY- KALEIDOSCOPE GYMNASTICS Kaleidoscope Gymnastics previously Gazelle Gymnastics Club founded by our Head Coach and Club Owner Dawn Dornan grew from a recreational class of one hour a week, to an extremely well attended club which ran in 3 leisure centre venues in east and south Belfast for over 30 years. In 2015 we rebranded as Kaleidoscope Gymnastics upon acheiving our life long dream of setting up our own premises to provide an even bigger and brighter future for our gymnasts with more classes, equipment and an even more varied timetable. Since then our Club has continued to go from strength to strength, We have been long established as an excellent Recreational Gymnastics Provider culminating in being awarded Family First's Best Activity Provider 2019. Our Competitive Gymnastic Squads are achieving more and more success each year including a 2019 Northern Ireland Champion Sarah Hetherington and our busiest In House Competition to date. Our boys side of the club continues to develop in both our Recreation and Squad classes and we are so happy to add our newest Class "Gymnastics Inc."to our timetable providing gymnastics for gymnasts with additional learning Needs. KALEIDOSCOPE CHEER In 2016 Kaleidoscope Cheerleading was founded with Head Coach Cara Watson, the Club has grown each year with many a competiive success and the additition of extra training hours in 2019. KALEIDOSOCPE DANCE Kaleidoscope Dance was founded over 15 years ago by Dawn Dornan with the Classes moving to our main premises in 2015. In the past 2 years her daughter Holly Dornan has taken a lead in the Choreography and running of the classes with Dawn remaining as the Principal and we have also expanded into Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Comtemporary, Musical Theatre and Jazz. KALEIDOSCOPE TEAM All our coaching team are fully qualified, insured and affiliated with the appropiate recognised bodies. At Kaleidoscope we have an excellent Team who always provide a high level and service of coaching.
