Want2B Workshops offers exciting and interactive workshop days for primary schools. We travel to schools in Yorkshire, Humberside, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Currently there are 3 workshops to choose from: So You Want2B a Roman? So You Want2B a Victorian? So You Want2B in the Stone Age? Want2B Workshops is the vision of Company Director, Clare. It came about through a love of inspiring children to learn through hands-on activities. Your workshop will be presented by Clare, an experienced teacher with over 20 years of primary classroom experience. Want2B Workshops are covered by Public Liability Insurance and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Our spacious modern building has everything you need under one roof. The school areas include 9 classrooms, a large recreational hall with canteen and games facilities, a large activity room, a snack shop and a disabled-access shower room and toilet. The residence wing consists of 10 dormitories and 2 shower blocks (girls and boys accommodated on separate floors) and 5 individual en-suite rooms for group leaders. We are conveniently situated at the top of the high street, next to the train station and medical centre and just a 10-minute walk to the beach and seafront. Most of our homestay is within easy walking distance; the other hosts are driving families who provide door-to-door service.
Our Objectives To inspire, enthuse and entertain children of all ages through literature and the arts; To encourage children from all backgrounds to read books, own books and visit their local library; To promote World Book Day. Our Goals Maidenhead’s Big Read, organised by Maidenhead Community Book Festival, will help: improve the educational attainment of children in our schools through reading; bring families and neighbours together to share books, stories and activities; increase reading and associated well-being in our community; children develop a love of reading.
