Nestled in West London, they are living the good life complete with 22 hens, three colonies of honey bees, a fruitful kitchen garden and a micro bakery which is making up to 100 loaves of bread each Friday along with hundreds of sticky buns, cakes and savoury treats. Whilst Sara and the family continue to expand their hands-on skills, they train and encourage others through their schools programme, writing, and series of courses that are run from Hen Corner throughout the year. Be it jam making, wood carving, bee keeping or bread baking, there’s always something new that we can learn.

Wexham is a highly regarded and successful non-selective 11 - 19 school. The School’s latest Ofsted inspection, November 2017, judged the school to be GOOD in all areas and for overall effectiveness. The school is popular and currently expanding. In 2019 we welcomed our largest Year 7 cohort to the school for many years. Our location on the edge of Slough means our school has a green and spacious campus feeling. In November 2018 we moved into our new multimillion pound ‘Woodside’ Building. This is a major investment by Slough Borough Council as part of its ambitious school expansion programme. We now have 29 brand new classrooms housing Humanities, English, MFL and our SEN departments. In addition a new student services area was provided and at the very heart of the school a new Library, including additional Sixth Form study areas. Historically the School was designated as a ‘Sports College’. Although such designations have now ceased, sport continues to be a focus point of the school and there is considerable success at both local and regional level. High levels of participation in PE and Sport builds resilience and confidence in our students which allows academic success to flourish. The School has well developed partnerships across the Local Authority and community where we lead on PE through the Slough Schools Sports Network based at Wexham. We are currently one of four schools in Slough piloting the ‘Health Champions’ initiative and we also jointly co-host the Borough’s PSCHE network. We are an enhanced partner School to Brunel University. We are the Youth Sport Trust’s Lead Inclusion School for Berkshire. Our recent survey of 369 parents found that 97% agree that: Their child is happy at Wexham Their child feels safe at Wexham. Their child is well looked after at Wexham. 96% of parents say that Wexham is well led and managed and 95% agree that their child is taught well. Most importantly 97% of parents would recommend Wexham to another parent. A key ingredient of our success has been the priority placed on creating an environment in which both students and staff have the confidence to flourish. For over 2 decades I’ve been supporting my clients in their health and wellbeing through various forms of massage and healing. I offer effective treatments in my clinic and stimulating education in the classroom. Leaving my past life as a graphic designer, I went back to college and studied Aromatherapy. Fast forward many years and experiences, I have gone on to train in Abdominal Therapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Thai Yoga Massage and On-Site Acupressure Chair Massage (Amma Massage). Constantly striving to improve my skills has lead me to various exotic places, from the Thai jungle, rainforests of Central America, throughout North America, and then the rolling hills in Surrey, UK. I first learned about Abdominal Therapy in 2004, after a chance meeting with Dr. Rosita Arvigo, whilst on holiday in Belize, Central America. This inspired me to seek Abdominal Therapy when I returned home to the UK. Driven by personal health issues, I received regular treatments which supported and reframed my attitude to my own pelvic health. Abdominal Therapy not only transformed my health, but also my outlook on life. Years later, and after working with hundreds of clients, I now teach Abdominal Therapy, running workshops at personal and professional level, both in person and online specialising in the art of gaining and maintaining abdominal health. I run Abdominal workshops for those who seek a deeper understanding and healing from digestive or pelvic issues, and train professional therapists in the art of Abdominal Therapy within The Abdominal Therapy Collective. I was a graphic designer for 15 years, immersed in the discipline of explaining concepts, products and events in a way that was easy to understand and visually striking, I bring these qualities to my teaching, always seeking simple and effective ways to explain healing concepts and methods to my students. I have created a beautiful haven for healing and learning in my home in leafy Twickenham, South West London, UK.
