leadenham hockey club
Leadenham hockey club started in 2004 on a 5a-side football pitch in Leadenham.
Now we are fielding 2 mens teams, 1 ladies team, several junior sides, an indoor
mens team, and multiple mixed teams for competitions and tournaments. Players
can start at the age of seven and we have yet to find a maximum age! Players
come from all over the county, especially Sleaford, Grantham and the RAF bases.
For the start of the 2019/2020 season Leadenham have moved training from RAF
Cranwell back to the astro at Leadenham Village Hall, whilst we await lighting
repairs at the RAF base. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly and relaxed
environment to enjoy playing hockey, developing skills and meeting new friends.
There are many parents who, after watching their children come through the
junior section, now take to the field on a Saturday alongside their kids in the
senior teams. We are always welcoming of new players and any members who want to
get involved with the running of the club so please get in touch if you would
like to try playing, or helping out! During the summer months Leadenham are one
of the most active clubs in the area, competing in various leagues and
tournaments throughout the off-season. Whether it’s relaxed social sixes or
competitive mixed tournaments you’ll find a range of hockey to suit your
abilities. We also proudly boast to be the only team from Lincolnshire to
regularly compete in the East Indoor Championships!
