History Our founder, Aatif Hassan, was inspired by his own life experiences to establish Cavendish Education. Having been through the education system with dyslexia, he understands the need to give those who are neurologically diverse the tools to create successful and meaningful lives. Aatif himself went on to achieve a successful career, both in business and as an officer in the Army before founding Cavendish Education in 2013. Cavendish Education is driven by Aatif ‘s dedication to nurturing those young people who think differently, enabling them to lead happy and productive lives. It is his desire to change the perception of what it means to be neurologically diverse through the achievements of Cavendish Education’s students and the quality of its curriculums.

Ursuline High School, Wimbledon is a voluntary-aided, comprehensive high school for Roman Catholic girls from 11-18. Under the Trusteeship of the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark. St Angela Merici Feast Day: 27 January. The school has moved through several phases during its history... The Ursulines were founded by St Angela Merici who lived in Italy in the 16th century. St Angela was born around 1475 in Desenzano on the shores of Lake Garda in Northern Italy. She was left an orphan in early life and spent several of her early years at Salo with her uncle. She acted as an advisor to the rich and influential and was known for her ability to reconcile those with differences. She was a ready helper of the poor and needy and she took a foremost place in what was very much a man's world. She moved to Brescia - the scene of her main work and where she eventually founded her company. On the 25th November 1535 St Angela founded the company of St Ursula, putting the company under the patronage of this early English saint, who was popular in the middle ages as the Patroness of learning. This was a particularly appropriate choice, as it reflected her concerns for the development and fulfilment of women. Her companions lived in their own homes but were consecrated to a life of poverty and virginity. After St Angela's death in 1540 her company became involved in evangelisation especially through education. Many branches of St Angela's company flourished and spread. There are many ways in which St Angela had a lasting effect on the company she founded and on the Church. Like St Paul she made herself all things to all people for the sake of the Gospel to bring all people to Christ. In her writings there is a great emphasis on prayer and all through her life St Angela was known as a woman of prayer. She also made a clear stand against the luxury of the world around her. She emphasized true poverty of spirit and trust in God alone. St Angela was also an educator in the widest sense of the word and in particular in the Christian context of leading people to find Christ in the circumstances of their lives.

Our team and history: A successful business, established in 1994 by Paul Meek a former Operations Director of an ambulance service. The aim of the institution is to develop the physical, mental and moral qualities of the students in a balanced manner through up-to-date education and co-curricular activities and to develop each student as a good citizen capable of leading a larger career and leadership in various fields of national life. The motto of the institution is 'Education, Discipline, Character, Patriotism and Service'. History and Information : Dhaka Residential Model College was established in 1960 by Pakistani President Ayyub Khan, in an area of about 60 acre beside Mirpur Road near Sher-e-Bangla Nagor in Dhaka. In 1962, the administration of DRMC was assumed by the provincial government of then East Pakistan. In 1965, the government converted the institution into an autonomous body, and its administration was relegated to a board of governors with the Chief Secretary as its chairman. In 1967, the government again took control of the school. At that time, a new board of governors was constituted with the Education Secretary as its chairman. The initial purpose of establishing DRMC was to provide education for elite army officers and high ranking government officials in East Pakistan. The school, and later the college, were modeled after public schools in the United Kingdom (according to the British Public Schools Act 1868), particularly Eton College. The house system was designed to resemble Eton's. After the independence of Bangladesh, a board of governors was appointed with the Education Secretary as its chairman. Since its inception, the school has been funded through government grants and fees from students. The Board of Governors has been empowered to “frame rules as it deems necessary for the proper functioning of the school”. The school began with only one study session, known as the Morning shift which operates from 8:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. In March 1993, another session is known as the Day shift was added, according to the education expansion policy of the government, to cope with the growing number of students. The day shift session operates from 1:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Measures were taken to build a gymnasium, park, swimming pool, auditorium, mosque, administrative building, and residences for the principal, vice-principal, and school staff. The school opened in eleventh and twelfth grades in 1967. In 1978, another dormitory named Lalon Shah House was built for students in grades 11–12. In 2008, a four-storied house named Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah was built for students of the day shift.

Wise Studies was founded in 2014 by Ryan Spielman and Spencer Barron. Our mission is to make available in-depth audio learning courses focusing on the texts and teachings of the world’s great contemplative traditions. We work with leading scholars, practitioners and experts in their field to produce quality education for serious students of contemplative study. We aim to produce courses that are engaging and informative with authentic, well-researched scholarship supporting the topics we present. We are not only the founders of Wise Studies we are consumers, as well! One of the reasons we are producing these courses is for our own study. We are passionate about deepening our knowledge of the traditions that have brought so much wisdom and joy into our lives. We consider it an ongoing lifelong process. It is our hope to disseminate these courses to a broad audience and bridge the gap between the academic world and general public. It is important for us to maintain the rigorous standards that scholars have for their research, yet, we also want to make this research available and digestible for non-academics. Wise Studies is the natural progression of my passionate interest, deepening my understanding of the traditions that have brought so much happiness and peace into my life. In addition to my offerings as a Yoga teacher I also lead groups and facilitate workshops dedicated to personal growth and awakening in London and around the world. I host the Lonely Guru podcast dialoging with prominent figures in the world of yoga. I began an intensive search for personal liberation quickly discovering a spiritual teaching that had its roots in Hindu mysticism. I met Ryan while participating in a practice with truth & authenticity at its core underpinned by the wisdom traditions we were both passionate about. Establishing and facilitating this relational practice in London and throughout the world I have expanded my interests and understanding. The creation and development of Wise Studies is a natural continuation along this path. About We believe the future needs people-centred designers to make the world a better place. A brief history of Design Club 2021 2020 2019 2018 2017 2022 Slow start to the year after a pre-Christmas rise in Covid cases. With heavy (but hopeful) hearts, we made the decision to shift focus. Our new strategy is to create a curated directory of design tools for kids - products, projects and programmes that get kids doing design and design thinking. 2021 We're rebooting! Looking for Reboot Supporters to fund 2021/2022 activity. We've learned a lot from our first remote after school Design Club. And partnered with Multiverse and Future to reach new audiences, online and IRL. 2020 We started the year with new after school clubs in Coventry, Haslemere and Woking, and exciting plans for weekend clubs, but we had to hit pause due to Covid. We experimented with online delivery and invited parents to run design projects at home. Bright spots: Elsewhen ran a remote club and we got a bit of funding from Grant for the Web (which enabled us to think about how to reboot Design Club. 2019 We supported mentors to run 15 after school clubs, including the first Design Clubs outside London, in Blackpool and Dundee. You can Meet the mentors on our blog. Our weekend squad ran pop-up clubs at Science Museum, Kingston University and MozFest. Reached 500 children and had more than 800 people register an interest in mentoring. Started hosting peer-led Meetups and recognised our Super Mentors. Won funding from The Funding Network. And Growth Supporters helped us grow. 2018 We set up as a Community Interest Company in April. We're limited by guarantee, meaning all profits go back into growing Design Club. Founding supporters came on board. Reached more than 500 children through a mix of after school and weekend clubs. Ran our first mentor Meetups and got accepted as one of Makerversity's Makers with a Mission. Partnered with BMJ, WIRED and Token Dad to try new formats. 2017 We piloted our first after school Design Club. Reached over 150 children through a network of 50 volunteers. Partnered with Marvel and Moo to develop the learning experience. Partnered with CoderDojo and iOi to deliver weekend Design Clubs. Partnered with British Council to deliver Design Thinking mentor training. How Design Club is free We're a Community Interest Company limited by Guarantee This means we're a non-profit. We've raised some money through grants from The Funding Network, Mozilla and Grant for the Web. We're also backed by the design industry to inspire the next generation of design thinking.
