Renegade Theatre was founded in 2018 by Natasha Langridge as an umbrella to create and produce plays for, with and about her local community in North Kensington. Renegade's first project was In Memory of Leaves written and performed by Natasha; an uncompromising monologue that explores what happens to communities when they are moved from their homes. It is personal and bracing; a love note to neighbours and a revolutionary call to the world. In Memory of Leaves was first performed as a site specific piece outdoors on The Wornington Green Estate as part of the inTRANSIT Festival before moving to the Teatro Keiros (Rome). Natasha performed the piece as part of Portobello Live in 2018 and, with Arts Council funding, took it on a three week tour of London canals across Kensington/Camden/Hackney on the Fordham Gallery Barge. Renegade Theatre's current projects include The Wornington Word: A People's History of The Wornington Green Estate W10. The project will record and archive the history of the estates residents from the 1960's up to recent times with oral histories, photos and a documentary that will eventually be archived in Kensington Central and North Kensington Libraries as well as being entered into the 2020 Portobello Film Festival. The project will ultimately facilitate the residents in coming together, for the last time, to create a documented history of their lives on the estate before it is demolished and regenerated into the new Portobello Square development. Renegade Theatre runs a free Saturday drama club for local children, led by Natasha Langridge and Hannah Hutch who has performed at The National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Old Vic and the BBC. The classes use a mix of drama and physical theatre games with techniques to promote fun, confidence and creativity. Over time we have created three plays, a Carnival Song, three films, a series of short films - the Golden Gifts Project - funded by the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation and The Story Stall, an onsite performance about the history of Golborne Market. Currently we are working on a series of films and plays with the children about North Kensington called Golborne Gifts, funded by the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation.

A short history of our North London Branch 2000 to present: Step Teachers are proud to have started out from 'The Shed' at the back of the garden of Mr & Mrs Georgiou's (Marios' parent) house in Southgate, North London. It didn’t take long for Marios, Jim and the team (which included his brother George, sister Angela, best friend from school Andrew, and Jim's brother-in-law Ben (our current Managing Director, Compliance Manager, Sales Director and Finance Director) to outgrow The Shed and move to Ashfield Parade in Southgate Circus, opposite the tube station. Barely 16 months later and the Step family were on the move once more; this time crossing the busy High Road to the rather grange building of The Grange. In April 2007, we went north across Southgate Circus and made our home in South Point House, above Southgate's once iconic Wimpy restaurant. Sadly it's now Paddy Power. After a decade, our tour of Southgate took us to Solar House, directly opposite St Andrew's C of E Primary School.

After graduating from university with good degrees we initially found it difficult to gain work, due to misconceptions and wariness from employers who were wary about visual impairments. But we persisted, and two of us became partners in leading law firms. The third went on to do a Master of Business Administration at Cranfield, and became a successful businessman – making history as the first blind person to gain this qualification.

We are a heavily oversubscribed, highly successful school with a long and rich history in the local community. The school was founded on the Glastonbury Road site in 1933. It moved to the Sutton Common Road site in 1958. At this time, it was called Sutton Common County Secondary Girls’ School; a small girls’ school for less than 400 pupils. It changed its name to Glenthorne in 1982 and it wasn’t until 1993 that it became co-educational. In 2018, we celebrated our Diamond Jubilee on the Sutton Common Road site. I joined the school back in September 2000 and is now my pleasure and a privilege to lead the school on the next chapter of its journey.
